Kmenne Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Grabbed a quick pic w/ my droid the other day. I will post more at some point. What a great instrument!
mars_hall Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Ooo, that's a nice one. Glad you are enjoying it.
kbp810 Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Very nice! I really like the grain figure in that top
FredZepp Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 That is a great looking H-150 . They are fantastic guitars, for sure.
skydog52 Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Grabbed a quick pic w/ my droid the other day. I will post more at some point. What a great instrument! Nice one! I call that a root beer float. I see you joined in 09. Is this your first Heritage? If it is, nice start.
Kmenne Posted February 24, 2011 Author Posted February 24, 2011 Thanks guys! This is my first Heritage guitar. I can not put it down!
squawken Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Looks close to Chestnut Burst? But I think it might be something else?
mark555 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Very nice guitar, and thanks for showing us the picture.
Kmenne Posted February 25, 2011 Author Posted February 25, 2011 I would call it "root beer" burst? Not really sure. It is a keeper for sure.
mars_hall Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 If you look inside the control cavity, it is probably going to say Burnt Amber for the finish
Blunote Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 This looks a lot like one that Elderly instruments guss in stock a few weeks ago. It was a great player. Could this be the same guitar?
MartyGrass Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 The Elderly Instruments root beer is a lightweight with 59s. I had them pull the control cavity plate off to confirm. I suggested they state that it is a lightweight in their ad. The weight was listed but not that it is weight relieved.
MartyGrass Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I'm pretty sure that is the Elderly guitar. I like the lightweights, especially after playing my 11.8 lb H157.
Kmenne Posted February 25, 2011 Author Posted February 25, 2011 Yes, this is the Elderly root beer guitar. I played it when it first came in (quite a while ago), and loved it. I went back the other day, played a ton of Les Pauls, PRS's, and a great Eric Johnson strat (fantastic guitar) and decided on the 150! I like the light weight. I guess some would say it upsets the tone and sustain. I am not complaining!! Next in line for me a 535!!

Elderly is a great place to visit. I may just drive up there this afternoon.
Dasherdave Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 You could swim in that finish! Just beautiful!
barrymclark Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Geez. This is the third or fourth new 150 day thread in a row that I have read! Awesome!
Hfan Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Geez. This is the third or fourth new 150 day thread in a row that I have read! Awesome! I've reached the conclusion that spring time leads to increased GAS, something with the hormones I suspect. Beautiful 150 Kmenne, congrats. How would you describe the neck carve? Heard the recent years have gotten chunkier which I like.
DetroitBlues Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Even though Heritage redesigned the pickguard to show off more of the top wood, I still say take them off and show off the tops....
