Anothersixstringer Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Hello Everyone! New member greetings! Last week while walking into a local music store, I saw a beautiful guitar on the acoustic area; upon closer inspection, I recognized the famous Heritage logo, and knowing the high quality and value of the brand I took the guitar off the wall to give it a try. Almost immediately I felt in love with it; apart from the great looks, the warm archtop sound won me over right away! I have been lurking on this site for a while looking at all the postings and I can see a fine membership of owners here, I'm so glad you all have this site rolling! Here is a pic of my Eagle. I find odd that it has neck binding and no fingerboard dots like all the other Eagles that I have found on the web. It is a great guitar! Cheers everyone
big bob Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 I have two with no position markers. I just love the look of a plain ebony board.
Anothersixstringer Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 I find odd that it has neck binding The 'first post' gremlins got me here...I meant to say it has headstock binding (actually, no neck binding but side dots)
Anothersixstringer Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 I have two with no position markers. I just love the look of a plain ebony board. I agree, the plain look has a special beauty
FredZepp Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Welcome.. That is a really cool pic of your Eagle that you posted, nice arrangement. It sounds like whoever ordered your guitar, knew to use the ability of Heritage for custom features. Enjoy..
Genericmusic Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Welcome to HOC. Very nice guitar. You did good!
bebove64 Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 A warm welcome to th HOC! Beautiful axe! I love those without position marks, the plain ebony board is amazing!
kbp810 Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 A very warm welcome to the HOC! That is a really sweet find, and a very unique look with the unbound ebony board and bound headstock, I like it!
barrymclark Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Love the dressed down Eagle! That is just sick! Just sorta says, "I don't need gold and inlays to shine!"
koula901 Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Six string - beautiful axe - and love the presentation!!
chico Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Nice pickup sixstring and welc0me to HOC, may you soar with the eagles...
DetroitBlues Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Beautiful guitar, no doubt about it. I've played a Heritage with a bare ebony board, and loved the look of it. Thought about ordering my own custom H-150 with an empty fretboard just because it looks killer!
mark555 Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 I agree, the plain look has a special beauty I agree also. It's a wonderful guitar, congratulations and welcome!
Blunote Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Six string - beautiful axe - and love the presentation!! I know...the flowers did it for me Welcome to the club!
kidsmoke Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Man, that photo is Xanax in picture form. Between the blue, the flowers and the daylight, and of course the gorgeous guitar, it gives us house bound northerners a calm, optimistic feeling (aside from being green with envy)
Hfan Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Welcome to the club, your Eagle is beautiful. I hope to get one in the future.
Anothersixstringer Posted March 2, 2011 Author Posted March 2, 2011 Wow! I am overwhelmed by the nice comments and warm welcome! Thanks everyone!!! You really know how to greet newcomers, I'm glad to be here. About the pic: It was just the right moment. After coming back from work and running straight to open the case; a cold winter sunset was falling down over Ontario and, having the guitar in hand and matching it with the background was unavoidable. I promise to stop now, but I was fooling with an app on the phone to add some effects to it ( or one of the series I shot). I have it now as my phone wallpaper. Thanks again!
