Joey Posted March 6, 2011 Posted March 6, 2011 Well it's been a week now that I've got my 1995 H555 back from my Tech with my Fralin Pure PAFs installed. Quite honestly, these pick ups have transformed this guitar into the most versatile one I own in a collection comprising a Les Paul, Strat, Tele, D'Aspiranta-jazz box, to name a few. Whether it is jazz, blues or rock, this guitar now does it all and extremely well. These pups are the cleanest humbuckers I have heard out there.When I say clean, I mean warm clean not sterile clean. With the stock Schallers, I never used the neck pup because it sounded just too muddy. The Fralin's are incredibly clean and articulate with single note solos or chords, perfect for jazz or or a rock, blues solo. The bridge pup is full and no longer has a trebly banjo tone. I like them middle position (neck & bridge) which is a beautiful blend for chord/rhythm work. I am so happy with this choice, that I wanted to pass my experience along to members for consideration when changing pick ups. Check out the Fralin site for demos Lindy himself, of all of his pups. I recommend that you have a good computer speaker system or use headphones to get a true representation.

Glad those pups are working out for you. I bought them directly from Lindy Fralin and they make your pick up after your check clears. The whole process takes about a week. I spoke to Lindy directly and he's a really nice guy who will answer any of your questions. Just call the number on his web site.
