Can someone tell me about the H516. There is one on eBay and I have interest in it, but know absolutely nothing about that model....the good, the bad, and the ugly. What are they worth? How do they compare to an H575?

I've been try to get over to Wolfe's to ask Jay about it, but my schedule is so full I can't get over there.

Thanks.

Hi Jim,

I had a 516 for a few years (sold it late last year to fund my 150). It's essentially a no-bling H-576 with a rounded cutaway that was made for a five year period in the early 2000s.

It's a decent jazz box with the stock Schallers and flatwounds on. Laminate front and back with a mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard

Hi Jim,

I had a 516 for a few years (sold it late last year to fund my 150). It's essentially a no-bling H-576 with a rounded cutaway that was made for a five year period in the early 2000s.

It's a decent jazz box with the stock Schallers and flatwounds on. Fully hollow and about 3in deep it's not going to do high gain stuff without feeding back badly. Laminate front and back with a mahogany neck and an unbound, dotted rosewood fretboard. Headstock is larger than you'd see on a 150/535 and looks better balanced for it.

There are some good pics in my gallery of the OSB model I had. Some pics include my 535 which may give you a feel for the size of it. I have dimensions and other specs somewhere which I'll post if I can find them.

Someone asked about this model about a year ago so it may be worth using the forum search function to locate that post.

Prices tend to be lowish as it's an underappreciated model.

Hope that helps a bit.

Sorry for the 'half post' further up. I was trying to type the details into my iPhone on a moving train and hit 'Post' on a bumpy bit by mistake!
