donnie Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 ...or are the words "out for delivery" the most exciting words in the English language? And is brown not a beautiful color?
donnie Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 It's the Almond burst Prospect from Wolfe guitars. I think I posted a pic a week or two ago from the Wolfe website. I wanted to wait while Jay brought it back to FL from their TN store so Graham could set it up for me-he did such a nice job on my 535. I talked to Graham Monday and he said it was even prettier in person and nice and light. I'll start an "NGD" thread after it gets here within a couple of days and put up some pics of my own. Guess I'm pretty stoked.

Hfan Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 like the song says: "Anticipation". Good luck and congrats.
donnie Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 like the song says: "Anticipation". Good luck and congrats. For sure! Hope this isn't too off-color but 35 years ago this girl I saw from time to time coined a word to describe when a guy is hopeful and expectant of winning her favors, at least for the evening. She called this state of things "anticipatutti". I thought it was very descriptive, and it's kinda how I feel now.
DetroitBlues Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 ...or are the words "out for delivery" the most exciting words in the English language? And is brown not a beautiful color? 'out for delivery' depends on if you'll be home before you wife is....
skydog52 Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 'out for delivery' depends on if you'll be home before you wife is.... Or locked out of the house.
donnie Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 Or locked out of the house. Yeah, you ain't lyin' about that! It's still not here yet and my wife took the day off to go to the dentist. She'll be done soon and I'm sweatin' bullets!
DetroitBlues Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Yeah, you ain't lyin' about that! It's still not here yet and my wife took the day off to go to the dentist. She'll be done soon and I'm sweatin' bullets! My new pedal board showed up yesterday, had to fess up before she saw it first....
Guest HRB853370 Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 ...or are the words "out for delivery" the most exciting words in the English language? And is brown not a beautiful color? Much better than an email that says, "delivery exception"
FredZepp Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Almond Sunburst in a Prospect is a drool inducing combination. I certainly understand the anticipation... I'll be watching for that NGD.
donnie Posted March 16, 2011 Author Posted March 16, 2011 Well, it's here but just barely. I had another package coming and the UPS guy brought it to the door and said that was it. I about stroked out then he said he had something on the truck that looked like it could be a guitar, so he looked again and announced he had one but to an address a couple digits off mine. They had used a slightly incorrect address so thank goodness I was standing there! I'll try to get some pics up in a NGD thread tomorrow. It's real purdy...
mark555 Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Anticipation is the best bit, just before you open the case, you pause and savour the moment
kbp810 Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Much better than an email that says, "delivery exception" Ain't that the truth!
donnie Posted March 17, 2011 Author Posted March 17, 2011 Anticipation is the best bit, just before you open the case, you pause and savour the moment Yes indeed, but truthfully I'm usually so concerned about potential damage that I normally just tear in to it like a kid at Christmas.
Assumer Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 They are great unless you know you will not be there and hope nobody decides to take your guitar off the front porch. Been lucky so far.
