That wasn't too alliterative, was it?

A real quick rundown: in very early reviewing I can't tell a whole lot of sonic difference between this guitar and my also-new H535, probably due to moderate household volumes and the fact that they both have Seth Lovers. They both love my Swart AST. But the handling? Wow, although I think my H535 handles and fits me well, this thing takes it to a whole new level of comfort. It's the most natural feeling guitar I've ever picked up, and it may well be the ultimate sofa noodler. Though admittedly it would be a waste to relegate it to such status only.

Without further ado, here's the 6 lb. 14 oz. bundle o' joy:

Now that is one dandy Prospect!! Welcome to the club. I have been very outspoken that I think the Prospect (well, my custom Prospect) is the best guitar I have ever owned. Comfortable, easy on the shoulders, plays like a dream and well, is just so darned pretty to look at. And yours rivals mine in looks. Enjoy your new baby!!

SWEET !!

It's beautiful .. Stunning.

And your comments about the playability confirm that this is a Heritage to consider for those that want the Semi sound, but increased comfort.

Do you find it neck heavy at all?

Mine had a thinner neck and the balance was just right.

Does yours have a partial or complete center block?

Congratulations on a fine guitar.

That's nice! Amber finish?

Whoops, I should have said Barry. It's Almond Sunburst.

Guys it's a Standard and has the partial (floating?) center block-not attached to the back. It doesn't seem neck-heavy at all at this point. I'm a bit of a weight junkie on guitars and I've actually had some Tele's that I got so light in the body they would neck dive a bit. This Prospect doesn't do that. It's about the perfect weight for me at just under 7 lbs. and it seems well balanced. Something about it just feels right.

Welcome to the club!

Nice looking Prospect you've got. And yes, they are special. I am not sure how or why these are so overlooked.

Nice one Donnie! That is some nicely figured wood you have there.

Enjoy and play it hard and often.

Peter Piper Picked a Peck.. Oh never mind. Fantastic Guitar! I'd love to do a head to head with one of those and a G-Brand ES-339. Being the Sasquatch I am, however, my 535 fits me like a glove as it is, so a Prospect would probably be redundant. Enjoy your new beauty, Donnie!

Beautiful Prospect! You will get years of enjoyment out of that. : )

Thanks Will, yes the 535 is Wolfe's version of cherry red which somehow they order as slightly faded. I guess that could be how they all come for all I know, but it does have sort of a vintage-y vibe to it.

Schweet!! Congratulations.. I'm curious though..why the same pickups in both guitars?

Fair question. It was completely unplanned. I just happened to see this thing and basically fell in love with it. I'd been after a cherry one for a long time, so that one was a natural for me. It just so happens that I like the Seth Lovers and they seem to suit what I play, namely blues and roots stuff, and some blues-based classic rock (I grew up in Macon, GA in the late 60's and early 70's, that'll probably explain it). So I guess I was more after the smaller size and the beautiful (to me) wood, and the pickups were just along for the ride.

I will say that if I hadn't really bonded with the Seths I wouldn't have sprung for the Prospect. Man, they're mellow and full, very rich sounding. They kinda describe that woman tone from the aforementioned time period that constantly rings in my head. If I ever get a solidbody I'll likely change pickup selection or maybe even go for P90's.

Hey Donnie, see you're kind of new here welcome to the club. Pretty Prospect, I need to try one one day, enjoy. Love the Seths in my 535, your tone discription states it well. Love the blues and roots stuff as well, and I came up in NJ, go figure.

Have you posted the 535 yet? Don't neglect her she will be jealous.

I did, and I'll try to post the link here: http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/index.php?/topic/12087-shes-here-and-shes-outrageous/

If that doesn't work it's on the 4th page of threads. She actually has no reason to be jealous-I think she'll always be the first wife and anything afterward will have to be happy being sister wives!

That looks stunning and no doubt sounds and plays as well as it looks.
