schundog Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 It's even more curious when a guy uses it, don't you think? HAHA!! Let him have it, Katy, great comeback!
Patrick Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 It's even more curious when a guy uses it, don't you think? Yeah. . I would definitely agree. More curious indeed. But, I have never heard (or read) of any guy telling Kuz . . ."phew, that's some nice wood Kuz". But, then again . . . I don't hang with Kuz too often. Maybe that's something he runs into frequently. If so. . . then I'm jealous!!
tulk1 Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Yeah . . . I guess it's mostly the way some of my posts are interpreted . . . or more accurately misinterpreted. Take the above post to Katy for example . . just a little good nature tongue in cheek humor with no malicious intent. I'm sure it will be interpreted as such by the vast majority. But, some will say to themselves . . . "oh boy!! Patrick's stirring it up again". At this point, it's become a bit entertaining to me when I notice that some members presumptuously assess my posts as unacceptable. I really appreciate it when other members read my posts without reading anything into them except the message and its intent. It's the cigar. .......... just sayin' .....................
Patrick Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Will . . . you're precious man!! I can't wait to sit and have a few "pops" with ya. It'll only get better, I'm sure. Thank you . . whom ever. Every little bit helps. I'm now up to -18. What's the record?
Jazzpunk Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Congrats Kuz. Your archtops are the crowning jewels of your Heritage collection!
Gitfiddler Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Kuz, I'm glad you got your GE back!! It's one of my all time favorites of that marque. Nice wood indeed!
Kuz Posted March 27, 2011 Author Posted March 27, 2011 Thanks guys. This might sound weird but I don't consider myself a collector. All my guitars are played regularly, even if just at home. This Golden Eagle meets my "lack of redundancy" qualification. This Eagle is much brighter but has a greater acoustic tone and VERY even response across all strings. This is exactly what I remembered and was hoping for. With more play I am sure it will mellow out like a great acoustic does. The deal was just too good and I had to get it back. I also my consider a different floater pickup down the road, but this guitar is a brighter more acoustic sounding arch top compared to the 575, 525, and the Florentine Eagle. Don't get me wrong it, the blonde Eagle might be brighter but is also the biggest and loudest sounding acoustically. Still, the Florentine Eagle may always be my favorite arch top. But it is nice to have the acoustic arch top toned guitar as well!
