BlueMitch Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 I found this video on YouTube and thought it might be a good topic for this forum. This is Alvin Lee (10 Years After) playing a 535: If anyone else has video, still photos or stories about famous musicians playing the Heritage line please share!
kidsmoke Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 I think Moore has been shared on here quite a bit....but in response to the original post.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHcotxYpcBs
ingeneri Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Kenny Burrell! OK, he's holding the Super 400 here, but the Heritage is in the background and Wolf Marshall is playing his Heritage KB
MartyGrass Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Alvin Lee can't take his 335 on the road anymore. I understand that insurance is too expensive with its value at over $100K. At least that's the legend.

kidsmoke Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 What are those pickups? P.J.Marx in the neck and an EMG 81 in the bridge Supposedly Moore's standard set up in those days. Here's another rippin' jam from that show.
DetroitBlues Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Are there any rock or blues stars out there who play Heritage guitars? (If not, maybe I should be the first! LOL)
Gitfiddler Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Mimi Fox laughing it up with Kenny Burrell Mimi with her Jazzkat Amp and 575 Mimi's Website

fxdx99 Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Johnnie Bassett!! Yeh, Baby!! Interesting clip on Detroit Blues - nice shot of Johnnie playing some Heritage blues at 2:10.
Genericmusic Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Vince Lewis Now that's what I call a guitar player. Kudos to Vince!
GuitArtMan Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Are there any rock or blues stars out there who play Heritage guitars? (If not, maybe I should be the first! LOL) Gary Moore didn't rock the blues enough for you???
DetroitBlues Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Gary Moore didn't rock the blues enough for you??? Its funny you would say that. I just read an article by Gibson that shows Gary's album covers, one of which he's sporting a Heritage guitar on the cover....

This is Alvin Lee (10 Years After) playing a 535: If anyone else has video, still photos or stories about famous musicians playing the Heritage line please share! Not famous or anything, but I play out a lot in the Bloomington, IN (IU) area. A lot of people ask me about the guitar, especially since I put the Charlie Christian pickup (from a '79 Gibson ES-175CC) on the H550, which I had built in '98 with no pickups, inlay, or knobs. Would not be surprised if a few of them order something from Heritage in the next few years.- Charles Bevell
bobmeyrick Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 There aren't many female jazz guitarists in the UK, but one of them, Deirdre Cartwright, sometimes uses a Super Eagle (her main guitars are a '61 Epiphone Casino and a '61 Strat). Her latest project is "Emily Remembered", where (along with fellow guitarist Kathy Dyson) she explores the legacy of Emily Remler. (Rather a small picture, I'm afraid.)
DetroitBlues Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Another great guitarist who is somewhat famous in blues circles is Shane Dwight. He plays a H-157 custom with P-90's. Really great blues guitarist and singer...

DetroitBlues Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 I would love to see that article! http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Lifestyle/Features/gary-moore-0317-2011/ Half way down, you'll see Gary Moore on a cover of an album weilding a Heritage...
