Wow, this is probably the best welcome I have had into any online guitar family, you guys are awesome!!

I will definitely post a bunch more pics when I can, and may try for making an improv video of it as well! Thanks again to everyone....and here's hoping my Heritage multiplies over and over through the years. Heritage guitars are the best!

Many thanks.

Nice finish. Now you will have something to keep your hands busy while watching the Sydney Swans.

Thanks for the extended welcome guys, not long to wait now...I'm picking her up on Saturday! :)

What amp are you playing through?

What amp are you playing through?

A Hughes and Kettner Duotone 50 watt all tube combo amp. Not your common choice, but a beautiful German amp that actually is quite bright and nice like a British amp, but distortion that smokes as well...I love it, a bit different. :)

I waited 3 weeks for mine. BRUTAL. Congrats on the new guitar Dave. Dig that finish.

Thanks kidsmoke, yeah I get it tomorrow! woo hoo. I will post pics as soon as I can, you better believe it. Its my duty here on HOC right?!? hahaha

Hi All,

I'M SO EXCITED!

I just picked up my new H-150CM trans black electric guitar today. As promised, here are a few pics to give you a better idea of its look and finish. I think it is a real stunner. Usually black guitars are just that, black. I like black guitars (black beauty's etc). However, this guitar, as it is trans black, it shows the grain through quite nicely, and particularly if you hit it with a bit of light, it looks almost dark charcoal in colour with the flame underneath. And if you hit it with a lot of light, it looks almost smokey charcoal/silver. I'm so happy with how it looks (it looks so much nicer in person than in photos...they just don't do it justice. Ok, enough of me rambling on, have a look at the pics:

The looks are one thing, but the sound and craftsmanship evident in this guitar is a whole other topic in itself! This guitar SOUND AMAZING! It has sustain for days, fits like a glove and I can say is easily on par with or (if I was inclined to ruffle traditional-style Gibson owners feathers, which I'm not really because I'm a '56 custom shop reissue goldtop LP owner myself) I would say possibly better quality than even the Gibson custom shop guitars. But I don't want to start another Heritage vs Gibson discussion here. Having had the custom shop '56 goldtop as my main guitar for about 5 years now (and i still truly adore that guitar by the way), I can safely say that this Heritage is every bit as good as the LP! The craftsmanship, build quality, playability are all world class! And the tone from the HRW pickups are right up my alley. I love these things; creamy, punchy, broad, strong and memorable! Yeah, that just about covers it!

This is one of the greatest guitars I have ever played, and I'm not just saying that in the heat of a NGD, I actually mean it. I played a few of them in the store and this one was the 'one'.

So thanks again for looking and boy does it feel awesome to be a new Heritage owner!! Thank you to all of the tremendous artists who work for Heritage!! I will sing their praises forever!

Oh, and if you want to check something else out....something else happened today!! I was so impressed with the Heritage guitars I played today, I came home with a second one!!! A H-170CM N.O.S. Special with HRWs in trans cherry!!!

Here is a pic of that guitar:

I will need to take some pics of this one as well to put in here when I get a chance. This little guitar is also freakin' crazy!! I just love this thing, it is kind of a crazy mix between SG, Strat, PRS and Les Paul...I can't describe it except to say that my H-150cm must have mated with a coupe of other guitars during the week while I waited to take delivery of it!! hahaha This guitar, although listed as trans cherry, really looks more like trans raspberry or a dark electric fuchsia kind of colour. It is really striking and very very sexy!! I'm so happy. This little guitar has a bit more punch tone wise compared to the H-150cm, and is really, really comfortable to play...it almost has an SG junior meets stratocaster slab neck feel, with a punchy and really sustain rich tone like a H-150 but with a touch more bite to it. It also has a real interesting grain that is almost black running through the raspberry/cherry/pink finish - really very stunning! Depending on the light, different people would be convinced it was either red, pink, cherry, dark orange or a vibrant mix.

Anyhow, enough rambling...can't you tell I'm excited, I can't stop talking about them!!!

Thanks again for looking....I will post more pics of the H-170cm when I can

Cheers.

As I said in my previous post, Heritages can multiply and in your case it occurred unusually quickly. Two great finds in one day.

Holy Smokes, two of them !!

The pic of the Black Trans 150 does a nice job of showing us the top. The trans finishes are hard to photograph.. but look fantastic in person. You did a good jog capturing it.

The other thing that catches my eye is the rosewood board on it looks particularly sweet.

That is a special 150.

And then a 170 also. You were right to get a second Heritage right away, because you would be desiring more after that 150 in any case. And you found a 170 with HRW's .. it seems that you've found your favorite pickup. In any case, it's great to have some variety, so I hope you enjoy them both (it sounds like you already are..).

I was trying to decide if to mention... if it were mine, I'd change the knobs on the 150 to black. It looks great either way, but if you're into small details.. that's the only one that I can see that I'd do.

Thanks everyone, yeah I'm real lucky, two in one day! Although, i gotta say that the only reason I was able to do that was the place I got them from were running most of their remaining Heritage stock out at 40-50% off!! I know, its crazy! But that is why I pulled the trigger on two guitars while the deals were going crazy.....lucky me in the end :)

Thanks FredZepp, yeah I really like the look of this H-150 guitar. And yes, the HRWs are just awesome for my money...really sweet in both guitars. Funny you mentioned the knobs on the 150; i tried out two different trans black 150s, one had the gold top hat style knobs and the other had the black ones you are referring to....I just preferred the look of the gold ones as I also have a Gibson LP that has that style of knob on it...just a personal preference....oh, and the one with the gold top hats had the nicer flame top on it as well...the choice (for me) was easy! :)

Hi from Perth. Welcome to the HOC. You got those from Jacksons right?

You got them for a great price. Ive been watching his site and wondering how low he was going to go on prices of Heritage.

I was over Sydney last week and almost called into Jacksons to try the 170. Just a ridiculously good price. But my daughter banned me from any guitar stores during our short visit.

The Duotone is an awesome amp! Between that and your new Heritages you gotta be in some kind of tone heaven.

Well done on two great looking Heritages.

AFL or NRL?

That trans black looks better in your pics than I would have imagined from the pics on Jacksons site. Awesome catch.

Happy NGD X 2! Those both look awesome! The trans-black finish is very cool, in my opinion. My most recent Heritage is a 170, as well, and I agree, they are an interesting hybrid of several different types of guitars. Enjoy!
