Dasherdave Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Hi All, Well, I am once a gain a very happy chap today. After some deliberation over whether or not to hang on to my strat or let it go, the player in me won out again, so I am now the proud new owner of a N.O.S. 2005 Heritage H-150CM 20th Anniversary edition in Vintage Sunburst!! Here are some pro pics of the actual guitar I now own I am really thrilled with it....it looks absolutely SENSATIONAL! And it sounds EVEN BETTER! Is that possible? yeah, 'cause its a Heritage haha! It has HRWs in it which I really love, the craftsmanship on this one is second to none (another Heritage trait) and the top looks sweet. Would love to be able to play some audio of it for you to let you hear it in action, but for now the pics will have to do. I am SO happy. A little bit sad to see the Clapton go, but a little short term pain I think will result in a lot of long term gain as far as my enjoyment in playing the guitar, because that is what is important. I want to keep this one for good because it plays and looks so good!! Thanks for looking everyone! Cheers.
Dasherdave Posted April 2, 2011 Author Posted April 2, 2011 Hi Me again, Oh, and as a side note, I am actually going to give this one a name. I name most of my guitars, and the name for this one came to me really quickly. In honour of one of my truly dearest and favourite blues players, I am going to name it "Gary Moore". I think it is fitting, it looks like a guitar Gary would be proud to play, so there you go. R.I.P. Gary Moore. Thanks for looking everyone! Cheers.
FredZepp Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Those are some great pics of that one. It has a great ultra top and the 20th Anni inlay on the headstock. It's really a beauty, I can see why you are pleased with it !!
Dasherdave Posted April 2, 2011 Author Posted April 2, 2011 ...and you actually had to think about that...??? Not once I saw those new pics on the web site! Even though I traded in a good instrument, it wasn't getting used and that Heritage once I saw it properly (i.e. clearly) I knew my mind was made up...and then to play it! WOW! :) Its about as serious a keeper as any guitar I have ever owned I think...and I've formed that opinion on the first day of ownership!
Kmenne Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 What a beautiful guitar! I am sure you will love it. There will always be room for a strat down the road. I would personally like to have a Eric Johnson model someday.

blueox Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Congratulations on your trade! From the headstock, it looks like you've got #32--of how many? You now own a unique H-150 with the looks, sound, and playability that is second to none.
DetroitBlues Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 That's a great guitar! Hope you have many years of enjoyment out of that one.
kidsmoke Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Congratulations, from a players standpoint, you can get a guitar that was all that Clapton was pretty easily. G&L sells em, and of course, American Strats are easy to come by. Not so with a 20th VSB 150. Well done. Seems to me it found you....
Blunote Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 You snagged a real beauty there! I've got HRWs in a semi-solid Millennium Ultra and love the range of tone they provide. Would love to hear what they sound like in an H-150 solid body. Hang on to that one.
Kuz Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Just breathe taking, Your " GM" will not get left in the case! I am betting on that!
GuitArtMan Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Great Googly Moogly that is effin gorgeous! I love the cross grain patterns and the mineral streaks. That is one of the most beautiful tops I've seen and that color is my favorite for the 150. Beautius Maximius.
dbetts41 Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Dave, Great looking guitar & a very fitting name...
golferwave Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 What a beautiful 20th anniversary Heritage! Well done!
Dasherdave Posted April 2, 2011 Author Posted April 2, 2011 Ahh, you guys!! Thanks for the great comments and wonderful well wishes. Yeah, I think I'm just about deliriously happy about it. The more I think about it, the more I realize I absolutely did the right thing!
