Dasherdave Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Hi All, Ok, if you own a H-155 Millenium Sae Semi Accoustic, please post some pics of it here! I am really intrigued by this particular guitar and wanted to check out some nice examples of it. Feel free to also comment on why the H-155 is a special instrument to you. Thanks in advance everyone. Cheers.
tulk1 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 You may not get too many responses to this request, Dave. They're a bit of a rare bird. However!! I happen to have owned one for a couple of years. It kind of ran the gamut between a semi-hollow (being a Heritage semi-solid), but not quite a solid body. The size and feel of the instrument is darned near perfect. Slightly larger than a 150, but even smaller in overall feel than the Prospect. If you get a chance to view the video from the Inaugural PSP you can hear the guitar during the video interviews at the barn. I no longer own this guitar, but it's where I get it back if I want. Here's my 2001 Millie SAE, Amber:
dantahoua Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Exactly the kind of guitar I'm looking for. Smaller that a 535, but semi-hollow... Would be nicer to me with an ebony board and a maple neck!
tulk1 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Exactly the kind of guitar I'm looking for. Smaller that a 535, but semi-hollow... Would be nicer to me with an ebony board and a maple neck! Heritage = Custom Shop. Go for it!
tbonesullivan Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 What exactly are the specs on the H-155 SAE? What does SAE mean anyway? How different is it from the Millennium H-158 Classic?
tulk1 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 What exactly are the specs on the H-155 SAE? What does SAE mean anyway? How different is it from the Millennium H-158 Classic? SAE = Stereo Acoustic Electric. Has a piezo bridge; uses a TRS jack if you want both piezo/magnetic outputs. The original Millie SAE's were truer semi-hollows in that they were laminate top/back, as well as arched top/back. No access plate. Later production models have gone flat back, arched top. There may be exceptions. I'd expect the Maestro to know what those were/are.
pegleg32 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 I guess you guys probably saw this one on Ebay. Bid at $700 now but the reserve hasn't been met: http://cgi.ebay.com/HERITAGE-MILLENIUM-CUSTOM-SAE-SEMI-HOLLOW-BODY-/140531169247?pt=Guitar&hash=item20b84f77df

Bid at $700 now but the reserve hasn't been met: http://cgi.ebay.com/...=item20b84f77df That is not actually a "Millennium" model. That is a strictly SAE. The Millie SAE has, of course, the Millie body with the added piezo system. Nice looking SAE, tho'. Some one here (new member, I think - sorry i don't recall the name) just posted a vid of themselves playing one. Sounded awesome. Altho' I suspect he's one of those players that would sound good regardless. It was some pretty nice playing.

schundog Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 OK, not an SAE, just a H155 Millenium, but I'm showing it anyway! What do I love about it? Great neck, a little thicker than the Heritage normal, bound, inlaid headstock, Ebony board with block inlays looks great, Seth Lovers, probably my favorite pickups.
schundog Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Brian, what guitar? Haha! Right, Paul, I ALMOST don't know which one to grab first! ALMOST.....
skydog52 Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Haha! Right, Paul, I ALMOST don't know which one to grab first! ALMOST..... Man if you don't grab the one on the right first. I will.
Millennium Maestro Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 The one went to Hungary, to a professional Jazz player!!
TalismanRich Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Another Milli, this one's a 2000 LE, not an SAE. This one is Chesnut Burst, with Seth Lovers, hollow trap markers, and special inlays on the upper frets. The Millenium is very comfortable to play, and sound great. Its not the same as my 535 or my 157.
bolero Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 here's a couple small pics of my Millenium, I love this guitar...carved maple top & back, bigsby, stinger, ebony board & those funky abalone inlays currently has Seths but am considering Throbaks in there
Dasherdave Posted April 5, 2011 Author Posted April 5, 2011 Thanks for all of the great responses everyone...its great to see everybody's wonderful H-155s in all their glory. They do look like a very cool guitar indeed!!
tbonesullivan Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Well that's it. I don't have an SAE, but I do have a Millie 158 from 2005, and it has arched/laminated top AND back, with no access plate, seths, and a bigsby.
Gitfiddler Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Can I join this H-155 love-fest-pile-on?! Here's my very sweet '04 Millie. She sings oh so beautifully with dual Seth Lovers.
SouthpawGuy Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Another non 155 or SAE .... my Millie Standard Ultra
Telenic Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Exactly the kind of guitar I'm looking for. Smaller that a 535, but semi-hollow... Would be nicer to me with an ebony board and a maple neck! If you want a 535 but smaller you should look at the Prospect. I got one for exactly the same reason. It is really nice, perfect feel, full semi tone.
