Guest HRB853370 Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Hallo everybody. I am new on the forum. I was offered a Heritage H 150 MP in white from 1991. Does anybody knows, what "MP" means?? rock and roll. Saluti Bob Welcome to the forum Bob. I am clueless about the MP.
FredZepp Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Does it say MP on the label in the control cavity? .... I don't remember that model... it could be a 150P (Poplar) with a maple cap.. They did a finish called Midnight Burst (MB) , but I don't believe it was offered on the 150 model. Hey.. a picture could help.. can you post one or two?
H Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Mother of Pearl maybe? There was a pic of a white 150 on here a short while back that had a mother of pearl pickguard and possibly also the truss rod cover was that material.

Hallo and thanks for answer, althought we are still at the beginning of that story, I guess. Here are some pictures. The back of the cover of the controls says: H 150 MP white, solders untouched - seems strange, because Heritage seem to deliver all whith pu-covers, this one is whithout. Medium weight- didn't get exact figueres thou. Any more ideas? rock and roll bob
mars_hall Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Heritage made an all mahogany 150 styled guitar officially known as the H150M, but I can't tell you about the appended P. totonka has the only H150M I know of here.

ronalr Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Welcome to the HOC...and that is one stunning guitar....
NoNameBand Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Great looking guitar. The 1st I've seen like that. Thanks for the pics.
dbetts41 Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 I don't think it is a poplar because of the inlays... didn't all of the "p's" have dot inlay markers? Mother of Pearl white maybe????
FredZepp Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 I don't think it is a poplar because of the inlays... didn't all of the "p's" have dot inlay markers? Mother of Pearl white maybe???? Yes, we'd expect a 150P to have dots, but then again they can customize anything. So the "MP" is on the label from them in the control cavity? Sometimes the writing on those is hard to read.. any chance it was meant to say something else?

How did I miss that! that must've been stunning!. I can envision gold hardware with that.

[/quot Hallo Fredzepp Writing in control cavity is exactly how I state. I emailed to Heritage, still waiting for answer. Lets hope for the best. May be its a custom order. Who knows. Some guesses are: MP = Maple plain MP = Maple (top) Poplar (back) MP = Mahogani plain MP = Mahogani / Poplar MP = Millenium poplar (because pots are dated 2000) Well, guesswork of course. Hope that Heritage will give clues.. rock and roll

I see now that you had already answered my question about the label. It is an interesting question, I hope that you get an answer to it. (We can ask them when we are at the plant in August, if you don't have an answer by then)
Kuz Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Call Heritage directly between 7:30-9AM. EST. M-TR and they will give an answer immediately. They aren't the best answering e-mails.
Jim W Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Katy, this might be the one with the MOP guard: mop guard
