FiveString Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 A couple of quick pics of my new 25th anniversary 535 courtesy of the fine folks at Wolfe Guitars TN. I'm thrilled so far, admittedly mostly on the basis of appearance, not having had much time to really play it since it arrived (damned gov't shutdown). I couldn't be happier! Apologies for the lousy pics - will try to get nicer shots when the dust settles...
Spectrum13 Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 That is a beautiful color and pickguard! Enjoy it and welcome to the cult. How did you find out about the store in Nashville?
schundog Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Congratulations, and welcome to the HOC and the world of 535s. AWESOME guitars. Regarding your user name, let me know what string you are missing, and I'll try to round one up for you...
Dasherdave Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Welcome in to the madness...I mean, you should be very happy to be a new Heritage owner....they are the best guitars in the world!! That is a real nice looker! Enjoy playing the heck out of it. Congrats mate.

Did it come from the White House?
blueox Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Congratulations on your new 25th Anniversary H-535 from the BRENTwood store. It looks like a winner. Sorry to hear that it sounds like you're involved with preparing for the government shutdown. Once the dust settles, you should be able to do some jammin' with a super guitar, shutdown or no.
skydog52 Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Welcome to the club Fivestring. You really started off with a classic beauty! You will find the 535 very versatile.
NoNameBand Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Congratulations and welcome to the HOC. You're off to a great start with a 535 and "pics". We love our pictures of the World's Finest Guitars.
High Flying Bird Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Congrats on the 535. I love mine. Are you local to Nashville? I got lucky with the shutdown situation. Our contract is good through October.
yoslate Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Welcome, FiveString! I've been through a bunch of guitars! Have a bunch now. But I must say, having recently acquired one that looks much like yours, that there is something special about a 535!
FiveString Posted April 9, 2011 Author Posted April 9, 2011 Thanks to all for the nice welcome to the club (or is it a cult?) Anyway it seems like the shutdown has been averted at the last moment so instead of having time to sit home and play with my new toy next week I'll be going to work instead... The pictures don't do it justice, but it's OSB (or Tobacco, depending on who you ask). Beautiful curly maple grain - it nicely matches my custom Osborne Chief banjo, from whence my nickname comes. I'll have to get some pics of them sittin' together soon!
H Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Welcome to the HOC That's a beautiful 535 and it's in my favourite finish too. Get that pickguard off - there are several square inches of gorgeous, flamey wood under there!
FredZepp Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Excellent !! That will be a sweet guitar to play, congrats. [
ronalr Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Congratulations on a great guitar and welcome to the HOC!!!
