cosmikdebriis Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Knock Knock... Hello... Anybody in here.... Silence... Spooky.... More silence... I'm off... Slam...
Dick Seacup Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 Not a lot of traffic in here. Maybe amp people aren't as sociable as us guitar guys. Uh, wait a minute...
yoslate Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 I'm really interested in test driving one, but I guess I'll have to go to Jay's to do it. If I get down there to pick up the Super...if that's ever built, I'm planning on spending a lot of time with every Heritage model amp he has in the house. The Lobo sounds like a good one. Hell may freeze over in the meantime, though.... :undecided:
brentrocks Posted April 13, 2008 Posted April 13, 2008 its kinda like how Hertiage guitars took a while to catch on....
Heritage525 Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I have a Lobo and a Patriot, excellent amps, super tone and solid construction. I got my patriot for $900, slightly shop worn from a store on ebay about 2 years ago.
Thundersteel Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I've tried some of the Heritage amps at Jays, and while they're OK, I think they are more suited to Jazz than to Rock & Roll. They sounded nice and clear, but, to me, they just didn't have any of that overdrive/distortion I was looking for; that's why I bought my Marshall. They might sound good with a distortion pedal, though.
Dick Seacup Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Let's take up a collection, buy a small combo (1-12?) and send it 'round to everyone that chips in for a week or two. At the end, we'll raffle it off.
doggy1972 Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/i...topic,93.0.html Thats a fuckin NIIIIIIIIICE guitar tho
Heritage525 Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 The Heritage Patriot is a big - loud, clean tone. Takes to pedals very well.
Heritage525 Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 The Lobo is very similiar to the deluxe reverb. Clean tone, turn it up, over drive tube saturation heaven! Only 22 watts.
jmb27 Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 would love to have somethin' to say about Heritage Amps .... but never seen any in Ontario .... and .... seem to have a very strong connection (addiction) to Dr Z amps at the moment 8)
ramseybella Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I bought a Briton 2x12 Combo 30 watt Nice sweet amplifier but what a heavy sucker. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v727/ramseybella/HeritageAmp.jpg[/img]
peterbright Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Let's take up a collection, buy a small combo (1-12?) and send it 'round to everyone that chips in for a week or two. At the end, we'll raffle it off. I'm in!
CDT Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 Howdy, I've got a Patriot and a Revolution head and 2x12 cab that are sweet. I recently had the Heritage guys make me a 2x10 baffle for my Patriot, which began its life as one of the earlier 1x12 combo models. Makes a huge difference with a tighter low end and balanced highs.
Dick Seacup Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 Welcome! Do you have two different make/model 10s in there, or are they both the same? I have a couple of 10s that I need to build a cabinet for, but I was reading somewhere on the internet that it's a good idea to use two different ones for some esoteric reason that I don't recall at the moment.
CDT Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 I just went with two Eminence Red Coat Ramrods. I've been down the "different speakers" road and it's a long, dark one my friend... I mean that they never make the difference you expect so you wind up spending a lotta dough, time and solder on mostly subtle tonal differences.
Heritage525 Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Amen to that! Speakers are not really all that different. The biggest difference I experienced is when I changed the stock speaker in my Fender Blues Jr. to a Weber Blue Dog.
Dick Seacup Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Thanks for the input (heh). I'll not waste time screwing around with the speakers then. I'll waste time not building the cabinet instead.
