FredZepp Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Hmmm, the Heritage Guitar site is down. . I wonder if they are doing something? Maintenance or maybe updates... that would be cool. Heritage Guitar Inc. site....>>> Please post if you find out any info.....
NoNameBand Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Maybe they're adding an assortment of Guitar Straps??? Or new models, or multiple finishes on existing guitars, or...
tulk1 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 More likely someone forgot to pay the bill... That would be my guess. If you're quick you can see "accountsuspended" on the url before it forwards to the hosting site. That's our boys! It'll be back up soon, no doubt.

blueox Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Called Heritage. No answer on telephone . . . just get answering machine at 4:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Coincidence?
NoNameBand Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Maybe they were abducted by aliens that have an addiction to collecting fine guitars. Thought it was time to cut out the middle man (or middle alien in this case).
DetroitBlues Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 More likely someone forgot to pay the bill... I was thinking the same thing.... Nothing like adding fuel to the fire on the debate about Heritage having financial issues....
NoNameBand Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 More likely someone forgot to pay the bill... Probably an easy oversight for a company as High-Tech and computer savvy as Heritage is. I think it's too soon to panic.

Kuz Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Called Heritage. No answer on telephone . . . just get answering machine at 4:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Coincidence? Their hours are 7AM-3:30PM M-TR.
tulk1 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Not the first time we've seen this, either. No worries.
High Flying Bird Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 AT&T has had big time problems. My DSL has been on and off for two days because my provider uses their network. If their likes go through AT&T it might be what's up. Don't forget the fish might be biting. I am sure that could cause a shut down.

Yeah, I've been having problems with AT&T here as well... that fish biting theory sounds like a really good one, especially with the weather warming up like it is!
kbp810 Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 i emailed them a couple weeks ago and got no reply... They don't get around to email all that often, especially if it happened to have hit their spam box... usually best to call earlier in the morning I just spoke with Marv and Ren over the phone Thursday morning (Thursday last week) to discuss the top for my 157 custom - of which the build was going into full swing on Monday.
Halowords Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 that fish biting theory sounds like a really good one, especially with the weather warming up like it is! You don't live in the Midwest, do you? Unfortunately there's a wicked cold front moving into the area and we're expecting some snow this weekend, in Wisconsin at least. I'm not terribly concerned for Heritage though.

I'm in Michigan, just north of Ann Arbor - was rather enjoying these 60'ish degree days, but I'm sure we are due for at least one more big chill.
High Flying Bird Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 i emailed them a couple weeks ago and got no reply... It's kind of a joke around here that you have to talk to the owners. Imagine getting that kind of service at other builders. Forget e-mail. You would think there was a nasty diaper in the computer.
blueox Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Heritage website is back on line when I checked at 10:00 a.m.

Ahhhh, I'm in Wisconsin and just sort of presumed you guys had gotten the crappy weather we're getting. Highs in the 40's with a forecast of snow for this weekend. 60-ish weather? Heck, that's practically surfing weather (not that I surf, but hypothetically)!
donnie Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 Heritage website is back on line when I checked at 10:00 a.m. Good. I hope that will help to quell the doomsayers over at TGP. I've never seen anything to beat the anti-Heritage venom that is rampant there. I've given up trying to defend Heritage there; it's useless.
NoNameBand Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 It seems to load faster, I wonder if they changed providers. There is always a 48 hour transition period when changing providers.
barrymclark Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 That and I noticed the models do a slideshow thing now on the home page. I don't recall it doing that before.
kidsmoke Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 That and I noticed the models do a slideshow thing now on the home page. I don't recall it doing that before. It was doing that 2 weeks ago, last time I visited the site.
