But if we don't get some pics soon, we may have to take serious action as a community. I know I speak for the entire HOC when I say this. Don't let this get ugly, otherwise, you may have finger-ease on your hands forever.
bebove64 Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Congrats Jack! It's a wonderful guitar! A rare bird in my country!

ingeneri Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Nice! How would you compare the sound with the 17" GEs?
High Flying Bird Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Congrats!! I am sure you will use it to it's fullest.
Dick Seacup Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Beautiful guitar, Jack; congrats. My introduction to Heritage came via the RMMGJ group on USENET (yeah, I'm old). I was looking for a high-value jazz box and quite a few people recommended the Sweet 16. I wound up with something totally unlike a Sweet 16 and the rest is history (so-to-speak).
brentrocks Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I bought the blonde one in the forum. This makes 4 for me! thats great man...you share some good company with your Sweet 16...like Vince Lewis! This is his #1 guitar if im not mistaken...a Custom non-flourentine cutaway Sweet 16...enjoy!!!!
byrdland Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 That guitar is well... sweet. It's a keeper. I have a 1999 Blonde one that is a joy to play.
sheetsofsound Posted April 19, 2011 Author Posted April 19, 2011 i was actually looking for one with a set pickup but they're very hard to find. It's a KA pickups. Much nicer than stock I imagine.
JeffB Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 This guitar is stunning. Congrats. I would struggle to make sense of a guitar like this playing. Have to woodshed for a long while to do it justice.
FredZepp Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 Sweet 16's are exceptional instruments.. and that one looks great. There are some great looking woods used.. thanks for the pics..!!
sheetsofsound Posted April 22, 2011 Author Posted April 22, 2011 Got the guitar yesterday. It has a couple issues but it sounds and plays great. Neck is straight, frets are good and the pickup is much better than the stock floater. It's really a sweeter sound than the built-in guitars. It has the X Bracing so it has a different tonal response than the parallel bracing on my other heritage archtops.
