Slim Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 A friend is interested in parting with his H-575. It has a "G" to start the serial number meaning made in 1990. Was that a good year for the H-575? Thanks!

Thanks! Don't recall there ever being a bad year for the semi/hollow guitars. Or the solid bodies, for that matter. Some specs change, hardware/pickups change. But the overall quality has been very consistent. So, yeah, that was a good year for 575s.
DreamKing Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 It's a Heritage, right? If so, it was a good year.
FredZepp Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Yeah, when you hold a Heritage in your hands... you can generally tell that it is special. It's that handmade in Kalamazoo thing... it has been true of every one that I've held so far....
peteraltongreen Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Hi Slim., I've been lucky.I got my first Heritage in 1986,then,my H575 in 1988.They are both great guitars, and I still have them with me today.I have also played many other models from different years, and they all looked and played great.I don't think I've ever encountered a make of guitar so consistent in it's build quality.I don't know of a 'bad' year.Snap up the H575,and enjoy the best ! Peter Alton Green.
