An Open And Shut Case...

My H-357 is complete and the folks at Heritage don't necessarily want to hold on to it until

PSP IV. My two-year-old son is traveling near K-zoo in a couple of weeks with his mother and

I think it would be fun to send him over to get it.

Any recommendations for a case beyond the $149 SKB on Amazon? TKL doesn't appear to make one.

I guess I don't follow what you need here?

You're trying to tell me your getting a 357, and you actually expect to be able to stop playing it long enough to put it in a case? :dontknow:

Also if your son gets a hold of it, he may never give it up. Never too early, I say. Same applies for power tools.

Brent got a Gibby case for his Korina 357 and painted over the logo with a Heritage logo.

You did catch the part about having a two year old, right?

Oh, just a two year old - they're easy. Wait until he's 14. You go wherever to pick him up, he'll come out with your favorite, not in a case and missing a string, throw it in the back seat, slam the door on it, get in and grunt.

...better get a good case!

TKL makes the case, their model number is 8832. Any dealer can order one. You don't need to use that ugly SKB case, and don't need to paint over any G or E brand logos. I'll include a picture of my new 357 in one when I receive the guitar (being made at the same time as Jack's, so...).

I purchased Epi cases for both of my 357s and they have worked fine. They're a big case!

I wonder if this clearance TKL is new and still in stock..? ( You'll want to make sure this model case will work..they call it an Explorer case)

Good to know. I actually CALLED the folks at TKL today and the young lady said it wouldn't fit. I'm not sure, however, that she was totally sure what a Firebird was. She said it was for a Thunderbird bass.

Thunderbird/Firebird, are the same shape. Maybe a difference in length?

Here it is on the TKL website:

I have one sitting here waiting for my H357, it is guitar length not bass length. As I said, I will post a picture of my 357 in this case when I get the instrument in hand...

Dang Baruth, didn't even know you were having one built!

I've read that the Epi case is both Chinese-made and insufficiently protective of the headstock.

Collective wisdom of the mylespaul forum is that the current Gib case is the best and most supportive.

I don't understand why TKL doesn't have one.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY HERITAGE DOESNT HAVE ONE! IF THEY MAKE THE GUITAR THEY SHOULD PROVIDE THE CASE!

Hey Jack..is it a sunburst? i think i saw it the other day.

It is. How's it look? Wolfe didn't really give me any details, I have no idea what pickups or

anything are in it. :)

Any chance you saw a 157 laying around as well? I'm curious as to how it's progessing.
