JackBaruth Posted June 13, 2011 Author Posted June 13, 2011 I'm seriously thinking about getting a second S-500. I am really in love with this guitar. In fact, I haven't deliberately picked anything up but my H-357 and S-500 in WEEKS.

DetroitBlues Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 G&L Guitar. Like a Strat, but lots better. Thanks! I did figure it out, but I was too late to edit my post. I have a friend that's been jonesen for one for a while now. He's a HOC member, but I won't *cough KBP810 *cough mention his name....
FredZepp Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 So with the new Mesa.. the G&L sounds really good now? What was wrong with the first one?
JackBaruth Posted June 14, 2011 Author Posted June 14, 2011 So with the new Mesa.. the G&L sounds really good now? What was wrong with the first one? The fan housing was warped, causing the fan to be very loud... and compared to the one I have no, it was definitely short on "punch". Incidentally, those of you who read "Vintage Guitar" can see my amp in the Rudy's ad, it is the one next to the glass door. I did not buy the extra enclosure for it.
smurph1 Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 That is a great looking cab, would love to see some closer up pics of the wood as well Mesa really knows how to pull off that cane grill cloth! Yeah,...but does it sound worth a crap? (Sorry I'm cranky..Haven't had my dinner.. )
JeffB Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 Yeah,...but does it sound worth a crap? (Sorry I'm cranky..Haven't had my dinner.. ) My thoughts on the mkv..... Yes, it is a catalogue of amps in a very easy to use package. I will have one.
brentrocks Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 thats awesome Jack...you have a great variety of amps there
schundog Posted June 18, 2011 Posted June 18, 2011 My thoughts on the mkv..... Yes, it is a catalogue of amps in a very easy to use package. I will have one. Very "Waynes World" type statement. Wayne wants the vintage strat, and proclaims " it WILL be mine. " Motivational speakers call this "name it and claim it". Go for it, Tully!
JackBaruth Posted June 18, 2011 Author Posted June 18, 2011 So my current six-string amp lineup: Whiteface GA-5T (1966?) Harris IRT FB-10 Harris IRT FB-5 Roland VGA-3 Roland VGA-5 Roland VGA-7 Mesa Mark V EVIL*ROBOT (incoming)
