Hey all-First post here-I have an H535 on the way from Wolfe Guitars - H535 with Seth Lovers-2009 slightly used.

Have any of you used the H535 with a tweed deluxe? Tungsten Crema Wheat is basically a hot rodded 20 watt 5e3.

Not looking for a tone of head room just a great saturated lead tone and rockin' rythm....what do you think????

Hi and welcome to the HOC :)

I love this amp with single coils. I have to say it does nothing for me with humbuckers.

Look for Greg V's demo of the Crema Wheat with a Tele on YouTube. Then watch his demo of the same amp with an SG. I was left bemused that humbuckers sounded so poor through this fabulous amp.

Can't directly attest to the 5e3 circuit directly, but my 535 (even with stock Schallers) was absolutely the BALLS through the lead channel of my Tone King Meteor...a circuit that's often compared to the 5e3 WITH plenty of headroom, if desired. If you're into early Carlton tones, it's all there (as most gearheads know, a tweed deluxe was the source of so many of his "best" solos of all time).

Almost bought a cream of wheat, but then I found Ken Luker amps. Great amps and at almost half the price.

If you get a chance check them out.

I use it with my H157 and it sounds great.
