FredZepp Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 That one is BEAUTIFUL ... a great looker , with nice specs... and a tone to match, I'm sure.
ingeneri Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Sweet score, congrats. But, what's the deal? Your uncle seems to be divesting all his Heritages. The other Eagle he was selling with the L5 pickguard was stunning, and the Sweet 16 with the KA wasn't too bad either.
Gitfiddler Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Congratulations. That is a very beautiful design. I like everything about it. Play it in good health.
NoNameBand Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Wow!!! What a beautiful example of quality, hand-made craftsmanship in the good ole U.S. of A. Good catch.
Jazzpunk Posted May 20, 2011 Author Posted May 20, 2011 Thanks for all the nice comments fellas! This guitar is an absolute joy to play.
Jazzpunk Posted May 20, 2011 Author Posted May 20, 2011 The deep black of the ebony fretboard and tailpiece set against the natural finish is stunning. I'm certain it will provide you with years of pleasure. By the way, your photo is excellently done. You must be a man of many talents. Thanks Larry! I took the photo with my Nikon D7000. It is a great camera!
smurph1 Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Finally scored this beautiful Heritage Eagle thinline from my uncle. I am one very happy camper today! WOWZERS!! Looks Brand New!! Congrats!!
Guest HRB853370 Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 I need an uncle like that! Just too, too pretty!
Hfan Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Does your Uncle know it's missing? Congratulations, that is a beautiful guitar. But that is understating it for sure. What pick ups?
Jazzpunk Posted May 20, 2011 Author Posted May 20, 2011 I need an uncle like that! Just too, too pretty! He gave me a great deal but I did pay for it. I've been trying to get it from him since the day he bought it lol!
Jazzpunk Posted May 20, 2011 Author Posted May 20, 2011 Does your Uncle know it's missing? Congratulations, that is a beautiful guitar. But that is understating it for sure. What pick ups? Standard issue Schallers. I'm always tempted to do the booteek pup swap whenever I get a guitar but these sound great!
Hfan Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 I like the Schallers in my 157 as well. And you can put the $ not spent on new p ups towards your next purchase.
Jazzpunk Posted May 20, 2011 Author Posted May 20, 2011 I like the Schallers in my 157 as well. And you can put the $ not spent on new p ups towards your next purchase. Well I am dreaming of a custom Golden Eagle with a 16" lower bout. We're a predictable bunch are we not?!
big bob Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 That is SWEET. Does your Uncle have any other guitars he could be convinced to part with?
brentrocks Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 the block inlays look great on that one...congrats!
