garymoorefan Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 Hey Everyone....just picked up an H137 and during shipping the pickup selector switch was sheared off!! Do you know where I can get a replacement fast??? Should I get the long or short shaft??? Thanks!!!
tulk1 Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 How can a selector switch get "sheared off" during shipping? No case? Bad pack job? As for a replacement, got a music store close? Same switch as you'd find in an LP, jr. Should work.
H Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Look for the Switchcraft brand. There's lots of junk out there which will waste your time and break your heart. The only way to know for sure which variant, long or short, yours is will involve taking off the control plate behind it and taking a look. Good luck - it's an easy soldering job

rooster Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 As far as the toggle switch goes, don't be to quick pulling the trigger on the Switchcraft. If you're going for the traditional full length one, Switchcraft makes the best. However, there are shorter ones out there that fit better in the cavity; they are about 1/2" shorter than the original Switchraft toggle switch. The Switchcraft short toggle switch is a piece of crap. You're way better off with the Neutrik; better construction, better contacts, better feel. You can view all your options at the Guitar Electronics store online; those guys are local to me, and good folks. rooster.

Do you know where I can get a replacement fast??? Should I get the long or short shaft??? Thanks!!! Maybe it was intential as the guitar knows there is only one way to ROCK! Just kidding, I'd check your local music stores for one. Worst case, you can buy one online from some place like alice.com.
mars_hall Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Might give this guy a try. I have used him in the past with good results MMTG Enterprises
