I love the story,Ron.

What a great way to be introduced to Heritage !!!!

... and yeah Dave , I thought of Tommy also, ... The Pinball Wizard.

He sold me a black H-150 in 1990. It was a year or two later when he marked me for the acoustic. It was the second Heritage I owned.

Funny thing, later on I had them install a pickup in the saddle. The guy who did the work dropped solder on the top. We used to sing, "My guitar Mr Walker my guitar..." One day I saw the guy who did the pick up install at Kroger. He was pretty close to God those days. A "Sudden Baptist." I stepped back and walked around the corner to the next isle. I said in a loud voice, "Werner. This is the Lord speaking. It is time for you to come home." I walked around the end cap expecting him to be laughing but instead he was holding a double arm full of cans of stewed tomatoes as white as a sheet. He was damn glad to see me.

If you think the Kroger thing is bullshit, ask, "Daves-not-here" about the time he was paged to the Kroger service desk.

Wow! Another thread about the personal histories with Heritage guitars. Here is Mr. Walker playing mandolin. Put your hand on your wallet!

By the way, these photos leave me flat. Where are the HOC people in the background? Folks, let's try and fill up 225 Parsons this year. You will not be sorry you came.
