brentrocks Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 The transformation is complete, and what a wonderful transformation it is. The HRWs are a far superior pickup to the stock Schallers. The bridge has quite a bit more punch and is a lot clearer. The neck pup is a lot warmer and fuller...plus it sounds much better clean. There is going to be a set for sale her by one of the newbies...buy them! you will not be disappointed! I'm wondering how they would sound in a 150/170 VS a Roy/535? I would try a set in the Gary Moore, but I'm very happy w/ the SD Alnico Pro IIs. http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y52/ebmmquilt/Roy%20Clarke/P1010002.jpg[/img] http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y52/ebmmquilt/Roy%20Clarke/P1010003.jpg[/img]
bluesboy53 Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 I think the HRW's are great for nice big box guitar like that, I don't think they are as good for like Gary Moore. That's why I am taking my HRW's out of my 157.
