FredZepp Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 The new issue of Vintage Guitar Magazine has a full page (!!!) ad from Wolfe Guitars promoting Heritage.. It shows a cherryburst H150 with minibuckers and a H535 in maybe a wineburst... or something similiar. And has a photo of a wall of Heritage guitars. " The Heritage of Kalamazoo" It says.. WOLFE GUITARS " The Largest Selection of Heritage Guitars Anywhere " I'll try to scan the ad later... it is great to see this kind for exposure for the gang at Parsons St.
FredZepp Posted June 7, 2011 Author Posted June 7, 2011 Is this the issue w/Jeff Beck on the cover? No... the August 2011 edition with Randy Rhodes on the cover. It is a couple of pages from the back.
H Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 I was thinking a month or so ago that I have never seen a feature piece on Heritage in any of the British guitar mags. Neither have I ever seen a Heritage reviewed or held up as an alternative to a guitar on review (aside from an oldish article that I think Fred had a few scanned pages from where an H-150 was up against an LP Standard and a PRS singlecut). Is the situation the same in the American guitar mags? What does it take, I wonder, to put Heritage into the mind's eye of a gear journalist when they're reviewing similar guitars? How could they be persuaded to run a feature on Heritage and a history that links it directly with some of the most sought after, iconic guitars ever made?
Spectrum13 Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Cool I will check my mailbox for the August copy. Was it last month Wolfe had a full page add for G & L? As far as trade papers doing articals and equipment reviews there usually is a quid pro quo. IMO the Heritage owner is wise to the fact that you never see a poor review of a product in a trade magazine.

Not sure why they'd spend the bucks.

They are a long time Heritage dealer.. the largest. Jay is quite friendly with the gang in Kalamazoo. Although I don't really follow Facebook, they post some great Heritage guitars on there from time to time. Like this amazing Sweet 16. ... this is a custom thin (2.25") 550...
Steiner Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Cinci mail must be consistently faster than the Motor City. I'll get mine tomorrow. Here it is June and the August issue is out already. Pretty soon magazines will be like automobiles; we'll get out 2012 issues in the spring of 2011. Thanks for the heads-up!

I've bought three from them this year. I'm looking for another and I guess I'm just a little antsy. It doesn't seem that Heritage is shipping much.

It doesn't seem that Heritage is shipping much. I see... I believe that they got a bunch of them a couple of months ago.. so still a lot of inventory, I'd think. You must have something special in mind. If you're patient, you could order one... Custom. Have you thought about how you'd spec one out..?
donnie Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 I wish I were more patient, but it's not my strong suit unfortunately. I'm to the point where I have Graham looking out for anything that hits in the close to 9 pound range.
MichYank Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Last month they had G&L's featured in their ad. I got a kick out of the logo though - a wolf playing a Heritage!
