McGuitar Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 Hi, I'm thinking of buying an Golden Eagle with the serial Y20908. Can anyone tell me when it was made? I read somewhere that a stamped 2 is indicating the instrument to have a flaw. Does this refer to the "2" in Y20908? See attached foto. TIA McGuitar
Genericmusic Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 The best I can tell, it was the 8th guitar made on May 31, 2008.
MartyGrass Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 The 2 does not indicate a flaw. This isn't a second.
Steiner Posted June 9, 2011 Posted June 9, 2011 That particular, sweet example was created on the 209th day of the year 2008. If the guitar is a "second" it will have a "2" above the serial number. Nice Eagle; Go for it
