This is an unusual find. A 1994 true NOS. It was in a music store in the boondocks of Pennsylvania. The store closed a long time ago. The person I know bought some inventory, including a few guitars. He wasn't sure what this one was.

No crazing or checking. Pristine he says.

I'll probably put this one in storage. Who knows?

Is there any special care for a white finish to prevent checking?

In PA? I think we've seen that one before. The music store was trying to get a large sum for it as it kept appearing on ebay.

I LOVE the look of that one. Very nice.

I realize that my 157 is really hard to beat when I'm grabbing an axe.

There isn't much that could improve on a nice 157 !

that is pretty...i wonder why it doesnt have a MOP logo?

That's a question for Heritage to answer. I had another H157 from the 90s with a stenciled logo. Maybe they sometimes ran out of inlays.

I agree that it doesn't look like MOP, but we'll see.

My '85 has no checking. Just watch the humidity with it. The only thing that's really going to happen is the white will turn yellow...

I think it already has started to yellow, which I like. What does the humidity do?

causes the wood to swell then retract. That will cause the finish to check as the wood expands back and fourth below the finish.

Very nice MG

I'm actually not a big fan of white guitars... until they start to yellow!

Nice!! But you said the LAST one was the last one until September; I'm sorry, but you can't play this one until September, Mark. Put it away. Rules, you know...

Well said Schundog,

MG, to help stave off any temptations to play it, I'd be happy to "store" it for you until September - just trying to help out a fellow member ;)

Arrrgh! Thar she blows!! I looked at that one a few years ago. At the time he wanted too much for me. Probably came down in price by now. Congratulations!

I'd be happy to Quality Assurance test it for you while KBP is storing it... You know, kind of like a car that needs to be driven once in awhile to prevent flat spots on the tires... :P
