RhoadsScholar Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 Nice Grab. I love the black binding. When I had my 170 built Marv talked me out of doing the black binding (even thought I really wanted it). They still do it, but he told me it was more prone to cracking later on (similar to what Gretsch guitars seem to do of older years). You might want to give Ren or someone a call at Heritage as you might want to treat the binding with something if you were to store it. I still love the way the Black binding looks on a White 157. Very Classy...
smurph1 Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 This is an unusual find. A 1994 true NOS. It was in a music store in the boondocks of Pennsylvania. The store closed a long time ago. The person I know bought some inventory, including a few guitars. He wasn't sure what this one was. No crazing or checking. Pristine he says. I'll probably put this one in storage. Who knows? Is there any special care for a white finish to prevent checking? Storage? C'mon man that's against the law!! Rock it!!
DetroitBlues Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 There are some folks on here with so many instruments, it makes me wonder how long some of their guitars go untouched.
