Anyone ever thought of creating HOC subchapters throughout the country?

i.e. Northwest Chapter? Southeast Chapter? Mid-Atlantic Chapter? Midwest Chapter? New England Chapter? Etc, etc, etc? There could be regional HOC events throughout the year, and of course, the annual PSP! I can even envision monthly meetings if the chapters got micro enough! Lets grow this thang! What better way to spread the word about Heritage and keep the boyz and girlz up in K'zoo working hard!

I don't know slammer . . . there might not be enough of us in New Eng. to keep it vibrant.

Should be plenty is S.E. Michigan!

Lots of MI folks here, it seems.....if it wasn't for the fact that I have to drive around that freakin' big lake.....LOL.

There is a Perth WA chapter of 4. Two of us work together everyday, one comes in several times a week to tune piano's and the fourth is an expat Canadian who visits regularly.

Take the Ferry from Sheboygan! :icon_thumright:

I've had this thought as well. I'd vote for a North East chapter PA, NJ, NY etc.

True....although, I believe the ferry runs from Manitowoc to Ludington. The last time I drove to Lansing was in October of 2009 (MI G&L jam), and by that time the ferry was shut down for the year. That might be a fun trip, though, but driving through the UP and over the Mackinac bridge is pretty incredible, too. It's a long ride, but it has to be one of the most scenic drives in the USA.

Would you include New England, as well? I don't think we'd have enough members to start our own chapter.

I lived in Minnesota for a year and used to come back home that route. I love driving along US-2 by the lake...

Southeast Atlanta had members lunch today. Does that count Will?

Yes, but we forgot to invite Barry M Clark!!

I'm into the idea - S.W. Michigan - 30 minutes west of Kalamazoo.

Slammer...I've thought about this too--LOVE the idea. I seem to be the lone Greenville SC (Heritage) flag waver...It would be great to be able get tog w/ folks who ALREADY know how great Heritage gits are...instead of having to go through the explanation and "sales pitch" with 90% of the population everytime I open the case....All for the southeastern chapter!!!

What I think would be nice, would be for the site software to support and allow the use of mailing lists (i.e. everyone on the site from the D.C. area), or support semi-private forums that people could subscribe to (i.e. where people could post D.C. centric postings). The idea of a semi-private forum is not for the purpose of excluding anyone or hiding information, it's mainly for the purpose of defining a group of interest for posgins that people don't have to see, unless they feel like it. None of this is a big deal, the site is great, and there are probably ways to work around these things, or maybe some of these features are here but I just don't know about them, but one can always ask :)

I'm the only member in the FL Panhandle Chapter.

I think it would be the Gulf Coast Chapter
