That's kind of what it reminds me of. As if they are tapped, but there is no hum/buzz. If I were going to keep it, I would just put some SD '59s in it with aged covers, to make it look more like an original '59.

That bridge pup should ohm out at near 14K... definitely not gutless. Does it have Blackbacks with no logos?

The neck pup should be really close to a neck 59er.

You always welcome to negotiate with me if thinks dont work out as suspected.

In the words of Mr. Money himself "take me home tonight!"

Awesome axes, your son must dig his grad present! that's better than a GTO!

by the way great photos, I'm a Canon shooter myself and along w/Mr. HFB admire the photo work of many on this board.

I felt like a Hatfield looking at a family photo of the McCoy's. But those are some nice guitars and your photography is excellent.

The Class of 59's are beautiful guitars. Thanks fo the pictures of yours Bob. Guy has a special addiction for them and the VSB he posted is an exceptional piece. I could look at pics of these all day.

I'm getting more into photography and have spent quite a bit of money on all new Canon gear. Hence, the reason for selling a couple of my 20 guitars & basses.

That can happen.

I guess I'm just trading one addiction for another. Hehehehe Thing is, I want to get into wedding photography, so I'd like to get a 24mm fisheye lens, a 100mm macro lens and maybe a tilt-shift lens. The 3 of those equals about 4 regular H-150s. :-(

My fisheye is a 15mm full frame Sigma. Not bad for the price. The 100mm f2.8 Macro is as good of a lens as Canon makes. It isn't in their "L" line but it should be. You will sell a lot more guitars if you ever decide to get the 600mm f-4.

That's a beautiful guitar. I think your pics will come out better without flash. Maybe try using natural light. I snagged your pics and tried to fix them in Lightroom, but the neck is really overexposed from the flash. I can send you what I did if you PM your email addy. Photographing guitars or anything shiny, for that matter, can be a real challenge. In the pictures of my Wine Red H-150 on eBay, you can see the reflection of the window on the opposite side of the room in the back of the guitar. I have some photography umbrellas, but they can look like white Sand Dollars on the guitar if there is any reflection, at all. The pic of the Class of '59 I did today I used the black side of a 5-in-1 round multi disc light reflector to block the reflection, and no flash. Maybe put your camera on a tripod, and turn the flash off, so the camera can reduce the shutter speed and you won't get camera shake.

Nice collection! As a wierd coincidence, Eddie Money was playing downtown Kalamazoo last year during PSP! Now, "I" wanna Go Back....And Do it All Over..." (OK, bad, I know...) :icon_biggrin:

To be honest, I am not much of a photo guy... I have an ol Sony Mavica cd500. I believe I popped those of the web from ER's site before I bought the guitar... In the updating and rebuilding and buying new computers MY PHOTOS ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE. LOL

I can't question your taste in guitars but I'm predicting you'll use those lenses less than the guitars. Lots of heavy glass to carry around.

Yup, the bag is getting heavy, but I'm actually more likely to use all the glass than I am to use ALL the guitars. I have 20, right now (about to go down pending sales), but truth is, about 6 is MORE than enough. I could easily get by with 2 LPs, 1 Strat, 1 Tele, 1 acoustic and 1 bass. That's way more than I ever had when I was trying to make music my main profession. None of my current guitars are really special. Alas, if I had the 1962 Candy Apple Red hardtail Strat my Dad gave me when I was 11, a 1958 TV Special I had in about 1983, a 1976-77 Flying V I played in RATT and about a 1960 LP Jr double cut I had at the same time, THEN I would have a fairly cool collection. Oh well, you can't cry over spilled milk...but you CAN over past guitars. WAAAAAAHHH LOL :crybaby2: :crybaby2: :crybaby2:

Hi Everyone,

I've still have the Class of '59. I started going to the Brooks Institute of Photography right after the last time I posted and I've been really busy. I work all week and then spend all weekend in class. I sent MartyGrass a message about the guitar, as we were negotiating a deal back then. If he's not interested, I'll be listing it for sale. Please PM if you have any interest.

Hi Everyone,

That is my Heritage Class of '59. Here are some more pics. I'll have time to comment and reply to posts later today. I have not listed the guitar for sale on eBay yet. and most of the info posted early by Marty Grass is accurate, except I'm Eddie Money's BUSINESS Manger, not his personal manager. I'm the money guy.

I'm getting more into photography and have spent quite a bit of money on all new Canon gear. Hence, the reason for selling a couple of my 20 guitars & basses. I play my R7 and R8 primarily (I know, I know...don't use the "G" word).

It's a beautiful guitar. Personally, I think it's the nicest looking Class of '59 I've seen. I took these photos an hour or so ago, so this is the actual condition of the guitar today, which is essentially the same as the day I got it other than changing out the gaudy, ugly, homely, over-the-top Grover Imperials to Tone Pros Klusons, which, IMO, match the guitar much better. I still have the Govers and will go with the guitar, if you decide you would want to put them on.

Marty Grass and I are still negotiating and he's a really nice guy. Hopefully, we can come to some middle ground on the price. I would love to see this beauty find a good home worthy of its quality.

Oh yeah, one edit. The guitar actually weighs 8 pounds 15.4 ounces, not 14.3. Still, that's lighter than 2 out of 3 of my LP Historic reissues.

I have decided to re-list this on eBay. I still have more guitars than I need. Here is a link.
