So, as the title says, NHD for me. And my first Heritage ever. H530 custom from Wolfe. Custom means fully bound in this case, with black finish. So far it's lovely, light, and delicious. Sorry about my cheap camera and lacking skills...couldn't get the flash off. I'm going to try to get my roomie to take some pics with his good camera. So I'll leave you with a couple pics 'cause I'm going to disappear with this beauty for a few days. I'll come back, hopefully with some better pics and a review. Enjoy...

Well done, Moonpie!! That 530 is definitely black, bound and beautiful.

To unleash the wide variety of tones that guitar has I recommend that you flip the pickup switch to the middle position and start playing with the volume/tone controls. Plug into an amp with just a touch of overdrive. Stand back and check out the tones. I guarantee you will be smiling in just a few seconds.

Play it in good health.

Beautiful. Congratulations! I would say "play it in good health", but that sounds a lot like my grandparents talking. But now that I say that: "play it in good health!". Enjoy.

Now you just need someone to start thumping away on that standup bass in the background of one of those pics!

So, I'm back after a long evening playing and a day at work. This guitar plays sweet! I'll use a couple guitars I have to compare. I have a mid-70's LP special with p-90's. The neck on the 530 feels similar. I suppose it's 'fat', but to me it's like butter. I prolly have bigger hands, so that might make it feel 'not that fat' to me. The Lollars are noticeably hotter than the vintage g-brand...not too far off a humbucker. At least I didn't turn up my tube-driver at all and it was set volume vise for a humbucker equipped guitar. Usually I turn up the volume with single coils. I think the Lollars are quieter. Compared to my early 80's Epiphone Riviera the 530 is thinner. That surprised me. Maybe an 1/8 inch. The guitar is thinner and the case is thinner. The 530 is light as a feather...the Riv does have a center block, but even so the 530 is light. I've never had a g-brand similar style, so I don''t know if the 530 is thinner than a 335/330, but I suspect so.

The cool thing about this guitar is the feedback! I'm not talking screeching awfulness, but a very musical type. You can feel the guitar fluttering against your stomach, and at will you can let the note sustain into blissful feedback. It is very control-able, either by moving a bit or by slightly pressing with my forearm. This chords and sounds like god on my AC30...just sweetness. I'm running out of adjectives, so I'll add some pictures instead.

Like to bound headstock and f holes, don't think the gold knobs do her justice. My 2 cents.

@Spectrrum13: Yea, that's what I was thinking also.

@Moonpie: I have a bag of Black Speed Knobs. If you'd like a set for your 530 Vader, drop me a pm and they're yours.
