big bob Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 just wanted to say Hi, try to post some picts the 575 is stock 1998 the millennium is a limited ed. #22 and yes, I swapped out the black molding rings for cream ones only because the original neck position ring cracked and the local shop only had cream replacements. Some day when the strings are off I will probably switch the bridge ring back to black. Hope the picts made it through. Dick Seacup Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Welcome to the Club! Very nice looking Milly...I am envious of anyone with hollow traps/crowns. My Milly DC only has solid blocks. <sniff, sniff> As to the pickup rings...well, if it were me, I'd leave the cream rings on there and get gold knobs to replace the black. Maybe that's just me, though.
Thundersteel Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Again, welcome! Nice Millie! I like the last 3 block inlays with the lettering--very classy!
big bob Posted May 1, 2008 Author Posted May 1, 2008 thanks guys, it's nice to know I'm not the only one wish the photos were better, my camera is about the same age as the guitars. Dick , Great Idea, the gold replacement knobs would be nice. I look forward to hanging out here Big Bob
yoslate Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 As to the pickup rings...well, if it were me, I'd leave the cream rings on there and get gold knobs to replace the black. Maybe that's just me, though. Nope, me, too!!

drewzee87t Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Bob - gorgeous M2K. Not sure which number mine is, when I get it out of the hospital I will post up. Mine is cherry! My neck pickup ring broke also, got a new one from Heritage. Also did the bridge swap to a tunamatic and stop tail, I am hoping that works out well, but don't have it back yet.
big bob Posted May 1, 2008 Author Posted May 1, 2008 drew love to see some picts of the m2k wouldent it be weird if it was #23 or #21 thanks for the great welcome all Big Bob
drewzee87t Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 it's 006 of does anyone know how many were made? build date is march 3 or march 4 2000 depending on whether you add 1 to the production date. It would be neat if one or more of them were completed on 12/31/1999 now wouldn't it?
big bob Posted May 3, 2008 Author Posted May 3, 2008 I'm not sure how many were made? I have seen some posts that say 75, and other posts that say 250 ? I would imagine with a little research the number should not be hard to find. oo6 is quite low Dude your in the top ten!!!! oh and uh :this_thread_is_useless_withou
