MartyGrass Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Well, it's happening. I took my H157 in to Pete Moreno to put a bone nut in. He looked around his shop for a short while and pulled out a 0.5 x 2 x 4" slab of bone. He explained that he prefers camel bone in a block. I Googled it and found quite a bit. Here's an example. http://www.delcamp.us/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=42693 Who knew?
mtpatty Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 when I first saw the headline, I thought damn, new way for a cigarette company to advertise...(must have been a helluva paint job)! LMAO!
tulk1 Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 My first thought was I don't want any camel nuts anywhere near my guitars. Or a camel's bone. ............ nope!!
FredZepp Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Ha.. I had to see what this title was about... Of course, your nut is in good hands.
heritagefan7 Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 My first thought was I don't want any camel nuts anywhere near my guitars. Or a camel's bone. ............ nope!! High Flying Bird Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 My first thought was I don't want any camel nuts anywhere near my guitars. Or a camel's bone. ............ nope!! Somebody had to say it. Your a good man Kenny.... except for this geek fest you are going to instead of PSP4. I hope somebody steals your ring or whatever it is you guys hide at these things. Sounds like you have seen a camel at one of these things before...... Doc, don't scratch them and they will do just fine.
NoNameBand Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 I guess if they worked okay on a camel, they'd be fine on a Heritage. Nuts are nuts, right? I wouldn't recommend eating them though, I'm speculating of course. It would be terrible to explain getting a chipped tooth from eating camel nuts, just terrible. Of that I'm sure.
DetroitBlues Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Better to have the bones than the toes on the guitar.
NoNameBand Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Better to have the bones than the toes on the guitar. Keep your feet off the dashboard, what, were you born in a desert?
DavesNotHere Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Hmm. No one seems to get my dark sick humor I do. I prefer the toe to the nut.

DetroitBlues Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Hey, you started it! Oh, I know. This poor thread started out with some thought provoking info on bone nut and turned into something totally middle school. And I'm proud to say it was me... At this point might as well state this:
barrymclark Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 What's so funny about playing with camel nuts? I play with them all the time.
DetroitBlues Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 What's so funny about playing with camel nuts? I play with them all the time. UM... a little TMI!
