JohnCovach Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 I've got three gigs this weekend, so it's a different Heritage for each. Here's tonight's gig out at a club on a nearby lake:
JeffB Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Thats a nice finish on the H150. Have a great weekend gigging.
tulk1 Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Whaaa?!?! You play "regular" gigs, too? <lol> Only pics I recall seeing are the GFTO and your Genesis band pics. Nice to see you handling the 150, John. What else you dragging out this weekend?
schundog Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Beautiful 150, John! But C'mon, don't keep us in suspense on what's going to the other 2 gigs. Pics, please! Oh, and hey, where did you get the cool hat? Inquiring minds want to know....
GASguy Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Beautiful 150, John! But C'mon, don't keep us in suspense on what's going to the other 2 gigs. Pics, please! Oh, and hey, where did you get the cool hat? Inquiring minds want to know.... +1 on the beautiful 150 comment and +1 on the hat inquiry. I know where to get a 150 but where can I get a hat like yours?
golferwave Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Oh yea John...I'll bet the P-90's were singing at the gig! That is one awesome looking H-150! Show us pics of the other gigs from this weekend when you have the time.
bobmeyrick Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 I can't quite match that, but I've had two gigs this weekend - Friday night at the Lion pub in Nottingham (http://www.thelionatbasford.co.uk/index.asp) with the Pete Donaldson Band, and Saturday afternoon at the Old Coach House in Southwell with a couple of mates (Pete Butcher on bass and Neil "Tyhee Slim" Jenkins on vocals/harmonica) as "The Melon Farmers" (the name was the vocalist's idea, apparently a reference to "Repo Man"...). At the Lion I was using my 150 VSB and 150 Special Goldtop, and at the Old Coach House I was using my 535. Pete Butcher is also a pretty good photographer and came along to the Lion gig with his Nikon D7000, and took a great photo of me and Pete Donaldson in action. The P-Rails on the goldtop were in P90 mode and sounding great!
JohnCovach Posted July 3, 2011 Author Posted July 3, 2011 Today it was the regional outlet mall, where they have a concert series sponsored by Coca Cola. More P-90 heaven. Answers to questions: I got the Heritage hat back when that guy in Nashville was doing the marketing and had a web page for such things. The hat in this picture is the official hat of the Mannes Institute for Music Theory, which I got last weekend when I was there (music theory and baseball caps don't often go together, but they probably should). And yes, that is a Ric 360 12 string in the foreground. With the toaster pickups, you can't beat the Ric 12 for getting that 60s jingle jangle.
JohnCovach Posted July 4, 2011 Author Posted July 4, 2011 Today it was back to the outlet mall for another gig on the Coca Cola concert series there. I decided to take the 575 Custom out for a ride.
H555rocks Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Today it was back to the outlet mall for another gig on the Coca Cola concert series there. I decided to take the 575 Custom out for a ride. That guitar looks plain-out sick!
FredZepp Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 A quick recap of the Heritages on Parade this weekend... Thanks for the post John.
schundog Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Man, those are some beautiful Heritages!! (Aren't they all?!) Sounds like a busy, music filled weekend; how much better does it get?! thanks for sharing the pics!
JohnCovach Posted July 4, 2011 Author Posted July 4, 2011 Thanks, guys. I'm happy to have no gig today, though I've got a show Weds in Buffalo. I'll see if I can smuggle a Heritage into the Going for the One set!!
golferwave Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Great stuff John! Thanks for sharing the pictures. You've been very busy this weekend so enjoy your Holiday!
