kbp810 Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 New toilet seat day! After seeing the "love toilet" sketch on an old Saturday Night Live episode, I got the idea to build a his and hers toilet seat... Here's the progress so far!
tulk1 Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Well, I do believe that is our first New Toilet Seat Day post. Congrats!!
DetroitBlues Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 That does look like a toilet seat for Siamese twins!
High Flying Bird Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 That is so sweet. Awwwh.... Nobody, and I mean nobody, would share the throne with me.

t0aj15 Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Boy this site is definitely going down the toilet. BTW that looks suspiciously like a 2-12" speaker baffle.
schundog Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 I am a pig; I saw it, and immediately thought it would make a GREAT front half of a sandwich board for a buxom gal!
Steiner Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 I am a pig; I saw it, and immediately thought it would make a GREAT front half of a sandwich board for a buxom gal! Something like: You must be this big to ride the Schundog at Happyland Amusement Park...

Thundersteel Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Is is going to be inlaid with mother-of-toilet-seat?
mars_hall Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Looks like you're fixin' to mount some woofers there, maybe hang a tweeter or two.
kbp810 Posted July 11, 2011 Author Posted July 11, 2011 Got a lot more work done on the two seater today... just about done Many, many, thanks to Mr. Steiner, he sure knows how to help build a solid and good looking throne
Trouble Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 That's going to be a beautiful cab. I'm stayin away from the toilet jokes though.
Steiner Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 That was fun KBP810! May you play her in good health
schundog Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 That's going to be one GREAT looking cab once you have it all done, guys! What do you suppose it will weigh? Is this for yourself, Brian, or are you doing an order for someone? WOOT!
Jimbob Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 That's going to be a very good replacement. Nice job!
kbp810 Posted July 11, 2011 Author Posted July 11, 2011 Thanks! It's for myself... though really more so, it's for PSP; I didn't even want to attempt to lug my EV12ML loaded 4x12 to Kalamazoo, now that thing thing is HEAVY! It's solid cherry, and at the moment it doesn't feel too bad weight wise, but once the baffle and speakers are in I'm sure it still won't be all that much fun to move around. Though the handle placement was done with the mindset of having a second person to help carry it. I'm not 100% set on what speakers are going in it yet... I'd like to mix an alnico and ceramic, but my ultimate goal is a pair that can handle up to 100 watts without added significant weight. All it needs now is some final sanding and then hitting it with some Cherry Danish Oil so it should match the reverb unit cab
DetroitBlues Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 That's going to be a very good replacement. Nice job! That looks like it could cause more splinters then I earned riding the pine for Varsity Basketball in High School.
