Jay Wolfe NHD for the Maestro

I just aquired a nice 2003 near mint 157 Classic that came through Wolfe's shop. Just gave her the full checkout and adjust to my playing style.

Very fast and Straight neck, perfect Fret job, Bone Nut, Duncans, Inlayed Headstock, VSB finish... Enjoy, you know I am!

A 157 with nickel/chrome hardware? Excellent!!! Nice, understated top on that one, too.

Not really a fan of 157's, MM, but that is a really handsome piece! Love the contrast of the pick guard (and p'up rings and ebony board, as well) to the top, and the block inlays look terrific!

I love the top on that one, and I dig the pearl block inlays. I'd take the pickguard off, but that's only because EVERY Heritage I have didn't come with a pickguard!

A 157 with a sweet look to it.

The top looks more active in the first photo.. different angle and more subtle with more grain showing in the second pic.

Either way ...beautiful. That top finish is really quite awesome. A great look and fairly unique in a 157.

And, of course, it will be a great player. Congrats.

Now that's a thing of beauty. Where's the truss rod cover? Getting a custom made one?

I just had it off for truss rod adjustments.

Thanks for all the kind words, I will get more pics when I have time.

MM that's a nice guitar! I might get one that color, someday.

Nice Guitar M2!

You know, for a guy in a padded room, you talk real normal; that's good! :icon_thumright:

Very Classy Guitar!

Love the color and the figure in that top complements the VSB finish.

Nice guit Guy. Shame you can't bring one to Michigan with you.

Nice catch MM. It looks great. I like the appointments as well including the Bone nut ( nice detail) and the VSB. Congratulations.

Congrats, Guy - nice! What's not to like about VSB (that black pg really sets it off nicely), ebony board, bound/inlays - a beauty.

Maestro, Is that your first 157? If so, welcome to the club, they are great instruments. Enjoy and use it in good health.

LOL... I do live in a padded room sometimes.

Very nice one Guy! How much does it weigh? Beautiful VSB finish!

I wish I had an accurate scale, statically it feels average, not a tank and not a feather in 157 perspective... Just average

Nice guit Guy. Shame you can't bring one to Michigan with you.

I have been debating bringing one of my girls to the dance for the AUG4 event... Jusy dont know which direction to go... Then I need to commit!
