eljay Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 while i'm getting the CC debt paid down from last year's guitar acquisition binge (NO regrets) i have time to ponder new possibilities. a couple of weeks ago i was smitten with this gibson cs356 at the music zoo lemonburst somebody suggested that the H millie DC would be the superior alternative and after reading up on millies, i agree. 'specially with vsb . . . Mmmmm good! fast forward to now and behold this koa top 356 at dave's koa oye! most eye-catching! does anybody here have a koa-topped heritage? i hope so! many thanks, eljay
tulk1 Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Doesn't the Maestro have a Koa top 150? Think so. And isnt' one of the 357s Koa? Maybe the first one Brent got from Marv. Not sure tho'. A Koa top Millie would be awesome!
tulk1 Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Uh ...... you said Koa, my mind was reading Korina. There may not be any Koa tops. There is one wood Marv said they didn't work with. From the lack of images in the gallery, it may be Koa.
Steiner Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Koa would have rung in my mind. I've never heard of nor seen any Koa Heritages. I did, on the other hand, see an acoustic today in the prototype room with Rosewood back & sides; another first for me. Koa beckons a heafty Hmmm...
DetroitBlues Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 Hmm, Heritage Acoustics again??? Oh Boy, there's goes next years bonus!!!
kbp810 Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 There is one wood Marv said they didn't work with. I know I've heard him say many, many, times that he won't touch birdseye
