barrymclark Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Assuming that is a guitar Heritage would reasonably make, what is it? Mine: Heritage H500 -17" lower bout -25.5" scale -3-3/8" rim depth -no cutaway -rosewood fretboard -mahogany neck -laminate maple back and sides. -multiply bound body, fretboard and peghead -single P90 in the neck position -rosewood bridge -split-block inlays on fretboard -a honey toned translucent finish on the top/transfer black on back/sides/neck Yours?
SouthpawGuy Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Triple P90 lefty 357, with triple binding all over, in triple AAA five piece neck, mother of pearl and abalone block inlays inlays, mega super duper inlaid headstock. Have I missed anything ? Bling to the max, that should do it. Three is a good number

barrymclark Posted July 16, 2011 Author Posted July 16, 2011 Perhaps something like this! I absolutely knew the SG would come up early!
DetroitBlues Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Minus the floyd rose, and that's about perfect!

jjkrause84 Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Probably a triple P90 535 with all sorts of whacky switching options (phase-switching, & 7-way switching).

There seems to be lots of P90 love in this thread.
mars_hall Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Neck-through Millennium DC with no f-holes and no internal chamber.
mark555 Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 They already make it - H150CM amber top, maybe ribbon quilt, but, dare I say this, a different he------k! Traditional hardware, top quality vintage style pup's, dark rosewood neck, perhaps no binding on the neck, prs style bound effect - after all, binding is just plastic.

Altho' I'd want a more traditional pickguard and that new SD pickup swopping system. Or not.
golferwave Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Really ? There seems to be lots of P90 love in this thread. We have the Lord of P-90 tone right here as one of our members so the P-90 love is all around.
Halowords Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 Heritage Stat Deluxe, or PRS-ish shaped variant 25.5" scale Iced Tea-ish burst on a nice curly figured Maple top, placed on a Mahogany OR Basswood body Les Paul/H-150/H-157 body thickness Belly cut Carved top Split-block inlays on Ebony or dark Rosewood board CC-Rider, standard-sized single coil, or splittable humbucking neck pickup P90 or Tele-bridge-like Strat-sized middle pickup Nice splittable slightly-hotter-than-vintage bridge pickup, with offset/"splatted" wound wire so it split to a ~6-to-8k rating, alternately some P90 equipped/incorporated variant 5-way switch OR 3-way toggle with Push/Pull on/off for the middle pickup Three volumes and one tone, or two volumes and two tone where the middle shares the neck tone & volume, activated by switch or Push/Pull Push/Pull OR Seymour Duncan Triple Shot (or similar setup) for coil splitting, out-of-phase, and in-a-series wiring options, just to have handy Pigtail intonatable wraparound bridge OR Floyd Rose available Bound body, neck, and headstock Jackson 6-inline or Carvin/PRS-style 3x3 headstock Chunky asymmetrical neck Heel-less design and beveled edges for nice upper fret access Or that, only set up like a Hamer Californian with a slanted-at-the-bottom 27-fret design, Floyd Rose, shark-fin inlays, single-coil neck pickup and hot bridge pickup. Not that I put any thought into this or anything.

barrymclark Posted July 16, 2011 Author Posted July 16, 2011 I think a good place to start is here.... As awesome as it is, that is just a 157 with some bling. If it was a full hollow or something... that is starting to get where I am talking. I mean a MODEL they don't make. I'll let the semihollow 357 pass... but JUST barely. My H500 is based on the postwar ES300 that Danny Cedrone played. The SG shape is down the right path. The 127 is alright since they simply won't build it but they had before.

bolero Posted July 16, 2011 Posted July 16, 2011 I wish they made something like the ES-135...basically a H575 with a thinner 2" body, and a center block
