campfire Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Sorry for the bad picture, but this is my Golden Eagle thinline from Jay Wolfe's emporium of joy! Not a bad quilted maple back, huh?

kbp810 Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 How about a little more Mahogany? Though my 575 has a little bit of backside flame to share
FredZepp Posted August 1, 2011 Author Posted August 1, 2011 Golden Eagle Tubular Quilted Maple Back: YES... that's one that I think of when it comes to quilted maple backs. ... that is quite awesome.
Gitfiddler Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 If quilted maple backs of archtops is considered a waste of good wood since it is rarely seen, how about a quilted front? I had never seen a quilted front on an archtop before Jay Wolfe flashed this 575 Custom on his website a few years back. It had me after the first look...and has kept me amazed with its tone ever since. (click to enlarge)
DetroitBlues Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Golden Eagle Tubular Quilted Maple Back: Looks like a windstorm over a lake of fire! Very cool!
