cod65 Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 quilting is kind of over-the-top 'fad' these days. When it was a bit more subtle I think it had more appeal. That said, Heritage does it well- no shame there! With quilted tops these days its just a bit more 'loud' in the visual dept- Kind of like somebody wearing a nice shirt or something, but ALL the time. It would be a great guitar for a wedding band! I'm sure the sound is awesome.
fullonshred Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 I own an Agile 3100- they are not inferior instruments- with a little customizing, they quickly become a serious instrument! I think that 7 string is awesome! Thank you for your information. I did not mean to suggest that they are an inferior guitar, just not the equals of Heritage or Gibson. I have read many reviews on Agile and am favorably impressed or I would not be considering purchasing the one I posted. As far as 7 string guitars go, I do not think there is a better, similarly priced option.

A good pal of mine has an Agile AL-3000M Spalted Maple (3/4" solid maple cap with 1/16" spalted top) LP copy on the way. He is coming up my way in Sept. and will be bringing it with him so I will get to see 1st. hand. I am looking forward to it. The pictures are nice.
