Identifying my H150 CM

Last year I bought an H150CM, and recently I realised it's no standard CM. I sent an email to Heritage describing the guitar and included a few pictures, together with the serial number. They told me it was a limited run of 500 guitars, but there's no limited run model number above/below the serial number.

It's got Seymour Duncan 59's, a wooden pickguard, Grover tuners, chrome plated hardware, solid mahogany body w/flame maple top, Old Style Burst finish, cream binding going all the way around the guitar, and a rosewood fretboard w/trapezoid inlays. Going by the information here at HOC (http://www.heritageo..._model_h150.htm), I think it's an H150CM Deluxe, but I'm not sure given Heritage Guitar's vague emails. Any help identifying it would be greatly appreciated :)

Here are some pictures of it.

Breadfreak, that is a fabulous 150. OSB is one of my favourite finishes and the bound headstock sets it all off perfectly.

Heritage aren't great with email but I can see that you had to get pics to them somehow. Try calling them, they may be able to help better on the phone. Perhaps it's part of a special bulk order for a dealer?

Thanks, OSB is my favourite too.

What do you mean by 'special bulk order'? I bought it from BandAid, the only dealer here in Malta. Thanks on the calling advice, I think I'll give them a call tomorrow (busy today).

Sometimes dealers place special orders for guitars with slightly different appointments to the usual. For instance, Wolfe Guitars recently ordered H-530s with FilterTron pickups.

500 seems like a lot of guitars in a 'limited run' when judging by Heritage's output.

Standard H150s come with the plastic pick guard, and don't have binding around the headstock. They also have "The Heritage" logo as a decal, instead of the MOP like yours has. It looks like yours also has an upgraded flame maple top. In fact, it looks like you have one of the 25th anniversary models, but the TRC doesn't say so. Whatever you have, it's somewhat unique--it's a stunner!

Nothing on the control cavity cover? That is odd. It seems it is an usual instrument but very nice. A deluxe seems right since it has a upgraded top, flammed pickguard, MOP inlay, and binding on headstock.

There's a picture in the album I posted up of the label on the control cavity cover. Unfortunately, where the label says 'Model' there's written "150 Select Top OSB", which doesn't help much, other than tell me that it's got an upgraded top in your words.

Right now I'm leaning on Deluxe too. Tomorrow I'll ask the dealer I purchased it from to see if he can tell me what it is.

I didn't know that standard H150's come with a decal for a logo. At first I considered it being a 25th Ann. model too, but as you said, there's nothing on the truss rod cover.
