Sprinter Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 I purchased a 25th Anniversary H535 today and I have a few questions. The label inside the guitar says "#6" after the hand written "25th Anniversary" writing. Is this the 6th one made? The tag also has "S. Lover pu's" hand written on it. I assume this means the guitar has Seymour Duncan, Seth Lover pickups in it? Here's a couple of photos of my H535. Sprinter
H555rocks Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Nice buy I love 535 and 555's because as you know probably know, they are a very verasitile guitar style. I'm sorry that I cannot answer your question but I'm sure someone else will answer it soon. Have a great time playin that great guit.
mtpatty Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 welcome Sprinter!- very nice guitar, very very nice-!
Hfan Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Beautiful guitar and welcome to the cult. I would say yes to the Seths (great pick ups for a 535). #6 i would guess is the 6th guitar of the limited run. I seem to remember there where 25 made but I could be off.
blueox Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Congratulations on purchasing a great all-around instrument.
big bob Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 I just love that burst. How do you like the feel and sound?
heritagefan7 Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 CONGRATS on the new 535---I have a 555 (very similar model) and it's an amazing instrument. Hope you enjoy it as I do mine. Welcome to the HOC!
FredZepp Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Freakin' beautiful. I love that one. ....and with Seths, that's a 25th Anni 535 to love.
Breadfreak Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 It probably means that it's the 6th one made, but check the headstock to be sure - it would say above or below the serial number. As for the pickups, yes, it means that they're Seth Lovers. Congratulations BTW, beautiful guitar
Sprinter Posted August 22, 2011 Author Posted August 22, 2011 Thank you, to everyone for your help and nice comments! I'm really enjoying the guitar and I'm finding it to be very versatile with the Seth Lover pickups in it. It sounds great through my '71 Princeton Reverb. It sounded even better at the music store when I plugged it into a '58 tweed Bandmaster with 3 10" speakers! Now I need to buy that amp.
SouthpawGuy Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Hi Sprinter and welcome to the HOC. That's a nice looking H-535 you have. Is that wine burst finish ? By any chance are you also a (very) big G&L fan ? If you are then welcome to the other addiction !
chico Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Yeah, its a madness, for sure. But you are in good company! Welcome, nice pickup for your 1st Heritage. sure is a beaut.
