Hello Music had a deal today on the VHT Special 6 Ultra 1x12....looked like a good deal so i bit.

 

Its a hand wired 6 watt, 2 channel 1x12 combo, all tube....seemed like a good deal

Those are nice amps, I've played that model a few times and keep meaning to pick one up.

Not to take any wind from the sails, but makes you wonder why a feature packed amp would advertise a "mod-friendly eyelet board" Wouldn't they expect it to be everything you want right off the bat?

The best thing that happened to the Epiphone amp is the ability to tweak it. That ability created quite the internet buzz.

Nah, people buy $3000 Les Pauls and change the pickups. There is a HUGE aftermarket business to be had from us guitarists, even if the original product is perfect; we THINK we know better, and will spend hundreds, if not more to get minimal improvement. Don't ask me how I know.....

It's always good to have at least one portable amp. Grab and go. Looks kinda cool.
