golferwave Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Since Brent posted his Green H-150 I thought I'd keep in the colorful theme and post pics of my blue one. I need to since Brent just bought a blue 20th Anniversary model to put all others to shame. What happened Brent? It took you a whole 11 minutes to snag that one, you rascal. This one has Sheptone PAF Tribute pickups in it along with CTS pots, bumblebee caps, bone nut, Tonepros Kluson Deluxe tuners, and the custom inlay eagle truss rod cover.
pro-fusion Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Beautiful!!! Aren't the Klusons a bit of a step back from Grovers?
H Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Aren't the Klusons a bit of a step back from Grovers? Not in my opinion: they're lighter, just as reliable and they don't tarnish. I think they look fantastic on this guitar.
chico Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 whew, I can't take much more of these colors <g>
bolero Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 that's beautiful, the figuring in the top looks fantastic like the truss rod cover too, was that on there already?
golferwave Posted September 5, 2011 Author Posted September 5, 2011 Beautiful!!! Aren't the Klusons a bit of a step back from Grovers? I agree with H. The tonepros are super light and tight for reliable tuning. Are they better than Grovers? Not really, but are more traditional looking.

golferwave Posted September 6, 2011 Author Posted September 6, 2011 that's beautiful, the figuring in the top looks fantastic like the truss rod cover too, was that on there already? I put it on. I've bought quite a few of the covers in both Rosewood and Ebony from Custom Inlay. Really nice work they do!
heritagefan7 Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 very nice---blue is a special color for a git IMO--this is a great ex of how special it can be!
