DetroitBlues Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 I would say all of the above So what do you say, Mars_hall? Going set this thing up for us???
mars_hall Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 No. It isn't available in the software...
DetroitBlues Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Bummer, but if we just list it in a thread and use the normal search engine based upon serial number, wouldn't that work? We'll have to provide a guideline on how to label the guitar data. We just need a separate category if that is possible.
mars_hall Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 I really don't think the admin will set up a separate category for this function, but you certainly can create a thread. The registration fields within the thread would probably follow the form of those in the examples others have provided, such as that from Gretches or G&L. Choose a format syntax and structure (limit the main choices available for consistency, but allow at least one "catch-all" field) , submit the thread, and see if others follow the lead. Allow for data updates of the fields and field extensions as new unconsidered input will surely come. (The fields and structure remain the same, but the contents/use changes) Think of columns in a spread sheet that can last over time. Sort of like CSV format.
