valentin87 Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Hello, I'm from Germany and I'm interested in a specific guitar model, which I've seen on YouTube (NAMM 2011). It would be really great, if anyone could inform me about this specific model (model description, color type, price, ...). I already tried it via contact mail but I didn't get any answer. I'm especially interested in the type of color. Thanks a lot. Greetings, Valentin
barrymclark Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 The trick is this... there is only one 555 model... but there are so many options that essentially every 555 is different. haha. I know that doesn't make this simple. I believe the retail cost in the states for a 555 is probably around $2600-$2800. That's without upgrades that will impact price. I think, and someone may have to correct me here, the standard option for a 555 is Seymour Duncan 59s. I am as colorblind as a dog, so I can't comment on the color. Sorry. Here is the model description: http://heritageguitar.com/models/h555ba_specs.html
valentin87 Posted September 13, 2011 Author Posted September 13, 2011 Hey Barry, thanks for your answer. The Seymour Duncan 59s are really nice Pick-Up's. But is there anyone else, who is able to define the type of color? That would be great. Thanks. Greetings, Valentin
SouthpawGuy Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 The finish on the guitar in the video is Almond Burst
valentin87 Posted September 13, 2011 Author Posted September 13, 2011 Thanks a lot. I think, that's right. I searched for the specific finish and found the following link: http://www.jimmywallaceguitars.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=560&Itemid=122 They are very similar. Greetings, Valentin
Hfan Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Have you checked out the Heritage site? This link will bring you to the various finishes. Good luck. I recommend Wolfe Guitars as a good dealer if you are buying new. http://www.heritageguitar.com/finishes.html
zydecosoultrain Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Yes, I agree with Southpaw, the color has to be almond burst. My 535 is almond burst and it is a spectacularly nice finish for a 535. Traditional but with an edge.
SemiHalo Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 hi there, give wolfe guitars a call in tennessee or florida. i just bought a 555 from them which has everything i could have wanted for just over $2600. seth lovers, curly/flame maple with amber, ebony board, m.o.p. block inlays, gold hardware, and so on. hey, and a free hat and t-shirt! great price i think.
mark555 Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I agree with Southpaw, definitely almondburst. My own 555 came with Schaller pick ups on it which I swapped out for duncan 59's. However, when you order new, you can have what you want.
