hinesarchtop
Hi, just curious if anyone has experience playing and archtop with one of these amps. Are they voiced darker? I've always had Fender amps, but they can be pretty bright. Any input would be appreciated. Gary

Genericmusic
If you have a bead on one, get it. You won't be disappointed.
rjsanders
i played a 1x15" a couple times. liked it, thought it had really good EQ (you can make it too bright or too dark or bump the mids, etc.). for some reason thought it suitable for jazz only. a 1x12" Patriot, tho, seemed more versatile. typically & for comparison, i tend to not like blackface Fenders all that much, cuz they seem to lack mids content i usually look for... anyway, just a tuppence... hinesarchtop
I appreciate the opinions. I'm a long time tonequester. I grew up with Fenders, then played Supros, Marshalls, Ampegs etc..... Currently I'm using an Acoustic Image Clarus R2 which sounds very good with My Sweet 16. It's like an enhanced Polytone, but as good as it is I really like tube amps.. I may have to try the Burrell model.
