Howdy fellas....

I had a 535 Goldtop w/ Bigsby years ago but never could get the Bigsby to cooperate. But, I was jonesing for a Casino recently. Tried the new Chinese 61 reissue. Really wanted to love this guitar. Tried one, wouldn't intonate. Tried a 2nd one, still wouldn't intonate and this one had a warped pick guard like it'd been in the sun for a few days. Neither of them had the nuts cut properly. For $800 bucks, I expected at least proper intonation.

Looked at a few 330's. Found a couple of 530's at Jay Wolfe's. Was very interested in a vintage 330 but one of the 530's at Jay's won me over. I got it home and set it up to my personal tastes and it's just a "perfect" guitar. Figured I'd say Howdy and I've joined the club. I doubt seriously this is my last Heritage.

WELCOME.

That is a real beauty you have there;

I am jealous, a hollow body with P90s is right at the top of my want / lust list.

Looks like you got yourself a real nice one too.

Welcome to the HOC.

Funny that you went in there interested in a vintage 330 and got a 530. ...cause you basically left with a vintage 330. ;)

Great buy! It's a real beauty!

You know you have it bad when you divert your business trip by a couple hundred miles to visit a guitar shop. He sure had a lot of purty 535's! Jay and Graham were very laid back and easy to deal with. I plugged it onto a Marsh Tweed Bassman 4x10 and played for about 2 hours. Walked out with it. Was a bit worried about the plane ride back, but zero hassles at the Orlando airport.

Welcome to the club!! and congrats on your first Heritage - it's beautiful!

It's a looker. I suspect it plays and sounds "alright" too.

Glad you realized that wasting $800 bucks was only going to get you Chinese junk. I remember when I bought an Epi Sheraton for $600. It looked so pretty. It played like crap. After that, I thought I would never want to own a semihollow ala 335 style guitar. I realized I was so wrong after I acquired my first 535. No substitute for quality. You made a great decision on a great looking and sounding guitar. Congrats.

Congratulations on your new H-530. For your first one, you chose well. But any model Heritage is well worth owning.
