smaj Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Do any fellow members here know of a hardshell case that will fit the H-357? All answers are appreciated.
DetroitBlues Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Did you look for the hard shell that fit's the Epiphone or Gibson models?
brentrocks Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 i bought a Gibson firebird case off ebay for my H 357....perfect fit lets see some pics!!!
JohnCovach Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 I have a Firebird and that case is the biggest one I have--bigger than the one for my double neck!!
High Flying Bird Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 I have one. It is the Epiphone case. I want to sell it and get the SKB case but I don't know if it will fit well in that case. Oh, John is right, it is a huge case.
JackBaruth Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 For travel, I bought the SKB Explorer/Firebird case. It works but it isn't perfect.
High Flying Bird Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 For travel, I bought the SKB Explorer/Firebird case. It works but it isn't perfect. At least it doesn't have a Gibson logo on it. Just kidding.......
smaj Posted October 17, 2011 Author Posted October 17, 2011 Thank's all, Ren told me he didn't think the Gibson case would work, glad to hear that it will.
JackBaruth Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 The Gibson case works if you MAKE it work. Which is to say... the 357 shape isn't exactly the same as a CNC-machined Nashville Firebird. However, the wood body of the 357 is far more stout than the foam inside the case, so if you CAREFULLY make it fit a few times the case will crimp to adjust.
brentrocks Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 At least it doesn't have a Gibson logo on it. Just kidding....... i fixed that on mine RIGHT AWAY!!!!
skydog52 Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 I have mine in Epiphone cases and they fit like a glove. Big cases .
