hgl Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Hi everybody. Which Nashville bridge by tonepros do I need to purchase to replace my schaller roller bridge for my Heritage 535? Will I have to replace to posts for the bridge as well? Or will the bridge just drop in/on to the schaller posts? How big of a hassle is it to make this change? thanks for your input.
DetroitBlues Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Very good question, I'm interested to know too!
Kuz Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I did the substitution years ago on a 555 I sold. I called TonePros directly and they told me. I can't remember off hand, sorry.
bolero Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I have one that sits on top of the original posts but they're only about 1/4" in the hole....works fine however, the string tension holds it down I have another that must have longer replacement posts because the poles are flush with the bridge....that's on a gtr I got off brent, so maybe it came like that from the factory? doesn't Wolfe order them that way?
MuDBoNe Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 I did a change on my H150 and this is where I purchased my parts. Very good stuff. They have Nashville conversion posts ETC.. http://cvgshop.com/Faber-Parts-BSWKIT-Steel-Bridge-Studs/c4_30/index.html
Hfan Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Lots of info here if you do a search. I looked into it at one time but decided to keep the roller bridge.

Mine came from the factory that way..Great stability, and Great tone..the schaller system doesn't suck though..I really liked it on the old 140 I had..As always YMMV..

However that would be an ABR-1 bridge different than Nashville.
NoNameBand Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 A TonePros T3BP-N (Nickel) & T3BP-C (Chrome). This is a pre-notched replacement for Gibson & US made style guitars using the Nashville bridge. There are no modifications needed. I have installed them on 7 of my guitars. The TP6 is "un-notched" and will need to be professionally fitted.
76mjs Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 I say go with the TP6 Tonepros Nashville bridge, which have unnotched saddles. Your luthier will space them and notch them properly for a small fee. It's worth getting done right. I have a 150 that I had replace the roller bridge with the TP6. I have since replaced the tonepros bridge with the Schaller Nashville bridge. I have another 150 where I have replaced the nashville bridge with an abr-1 bridge using the callaham conversion studs. They work and sound great and looks good too!!
NoNameBand Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 TonePros locking bridge - T3BP-N (Nickel) or T3BP-C (Chrome) $64.00& Stop Bar Zmac- T1ZS-N (Nickel) or T1ZS-C (Chrome)$52.50. Light weight Aluminum stop bar is T1ZSA-N (Nickel)$100.00. Marquis will ship free for orders over $100.00. These will lock in place with a set screw and no longer move up-down/fall off when changing strings once set up or adjusted. These are a direct replacement for US made guitars and will come with the new posts needed to accommodate the new pieces. They also come in Gold, Black and Aged Nickel. Kluson vintage style tuners are also available as a direct replacement, no mods necessary. All TonePro parts are available through Marquis Distribution direct to consumers. Call Brian at 209-845-9579 or log on to: http://www.marquisdistribution.com/ No drilling or any other power tool activity required. Unscrew the old posts, screw in the new ones and slip on the new bridge, adjust accordingly height and intonation, DONE. Looks just like a standard Gibson tune-a-matic Nashville bridge & stop-bar tailpiece. These are the same components used by Gibson and many other manufactures including Heritage as factory installed. Heritage now uses a lot of TonePro components. They are easily identified with 2 small black allen type set screws going in to the posts.
